Koka Ninja Village, a collection of preserved ninja architecture

The Koka Ninja Village (甲賀の里忍術村) is Koka city's attraction that includes several preserved ninja-related architecture and facilities to enjoy ninja experiences.
Not only just seeing staff demonstration in the ninja house or the displayed ninja items in museum, you can experience various ninja activities such as ninja star throwing, walking on water with mud shoes and climbing walls in the vast grounds of the village.
As the village is in rural area, you need to call the office of the village and ask them for pick-up once you arrived at Koka station of JR.
By the way, the 'Koka' is often called 'Koga' or 'Kouga' in comics or movies but 'Koka' is the correct name.

There were likely far more than just 2 ninja families, but I believe each family hailed frim either Iga or Koga but then spread to the rest of Japan. This was cool to watch. 🥷

Antony Cummins says koka but I twinned in koga yamabushi Ninjutsu that's how I learned it and my Japanese friend says it's koga not koka so that's what I'm going with.

Thank you very much for your comment! The place where ninjas used to be is today's Koka City. Koka is the correct pronunciation. This comes from the fact that this area was ruled by a clan called Kafuka. However, there was a time in the past when this area was pronounced Koga, and in many ninja-related books it is written as Koga. So both are correct.

Koka or Koga? Iga and Koga are prefectures right? But home to the two biggest clans?

Thank you for your question. Many people say 'Koga' but 'Koka' is the correct name of the clan and their hometown. Iga and Koka are not prefectures but cities. Iga City belongs to Mie Prefecture and Koka City belongs to Shiga Prefecture but these cities are located side by side.
