I've had ts9, ts808, clarksdale and hotone. In the mix, they all sounded the almost the same as the kokko.

This pedal sounds great. I used two of them on my tiny session pedalboard. They work well with clean settled solidstate amps and of course even better with crunchy tube amps. Though I regularly use the Lick Box and The Dude these kokkos are a fantastic deal.

yeah the NUX/KOKKO Amp Simulator has great SUSTAIN clean for my dark Jazzy tones, also affects heavy lead tones: the sustain I mean! I play strat neck pups and always wanted a little more sustain but I really dont like compressors, and I have many ods..., I was almost selling my last Nux Amp Sim, but gave it a last try, and now oredere a KOKKO amp sim for backup! SUSTAIN, BASS n TREBLE for 30bucks!!!CHEAP pedals are not to be ignored, Ive got 100€ pedals next to 25€ pedals workin side by side!

I just got a kokko fod3, boss ds1, dan electro fab fuzz, and a behringer graphic eq for $50 locally and am amazed at how good this thing sounds! Thanks so much for the excellent review! I've owned this pedal for about 4 months. The day I got it, I A/B'd it against my buddy's TS808 that I had been borrowing. Bottomline, they were very close in tone and feel. Any slight differences, to me, were negligible. As with most things tone related, neither was better or worse, just slightly different. However, for the money, this Kokko overdrive is a NO BRAINER. I wouldnt say it was built like a tank(compaired to a ToneCity pedal for instance) but it should definely last a good few years esp if your not constanly stepping on it. But the nice part is, if it does break, it wont break your heart. Theyre so cheap, you just get another( I think I paid $17 with shipping). What more could you ask for?...aside from getting it free in a box of cereal? (Btw, the knob markers glow in the dark. Every pedal[& amp] should have this. On a darker stage, it really does help you to see the settings). Rock On!

Nope. Supa drive is more transparent, no mid bump, roughly same gain, brighter, w/ more output. I just got this, supa drive & distortion, & oh man, the distortion ate my ocd and sl drive for lunch! Best 20usd spent ever for the kokko distortion!
