Join Johanne and I on an epic hiking adventure as we conquer the Koko Head Trail, also known as the "Koko Head Stairs". This trail is not for the faint of heart, with an 880-foot incline over a short 2.25 km distance, it's a challenging climb that will test your endurance and willpower. As you ascend, the steep angle will have you wondering if you'll ever make it to the top. But for those who persevere, the reward is worth it. The 360-degree panoramic views from the summit are simply breathtaking and will leave you feeling awe-struck. At the top, you'll also discover a piece of history with a World War II relic military Pill Box, which served as a lookout point for the US military. The rail bed we hike on was used to haul personnel and supplies to the top.
The hike itself can be done in under two hours, but if you are like us you need a few hours to soak in the incredible scenery, take lots of breaks, snap pictures, and explore the surrounding area. Join us on this exhilarating hiking adventure, and let's conquer the Koko Head Trail together!
