Omg 9:04 she took the words right out of my mouth - this is always my complaint about girl group choreo, I want to see them DANCE and I'm sure most of them can, but it doesn't seem like they're given the opportunity with proper choreo 😕

kinda agree with ceecee here. for a super group theyre not making full use of the talent these girls have. its a little bit too safe for the amount of skill they have. its like having the amazing hulk and then just using him to open jars of peanut butter.

Omg the 'eh, it's fine' expression is giving me life. The producer Yoo Young Jin is the man you can thank for most random English in SM. He was also the biggest producer after Lee Soo Man left SM and followed the founder just a bit after the HYBE-Kakao-SM war. Umm I appreciate his work (he's a legend for a reason) and Shawols wouldn't have Fantastic Elastic without him but I'm excited by the idea that his favorite vocalists may no longer get 70% of group lines.

@@gigimlee It's not about my consideration - SM fans know he does this. It's who has his favorite vocal tone. haha Zero hate. I like this member but she's not a main in Aespa and has the most lines in Savage and got into GOT despite SM wanting super groups to appeal to China as well. Again, I like her. I also like his EXO fave but ever since debut this member has gotten so many extra lines when other members could've done just as well, one even better.

I feel like she would really enjoy Itzy's (older) choreo, NMIXX, Billlie, Dreamcatcher, PIXY and certain Loona choreos. Most of these groups are pretty consistent in having some more of that intricacy she's looking for in their choreos. I'd love to see her react to any and all of them😭🫶🏻

just a note, BoA had promotions for her new song, was preparing for her anniversary concert, and she was also sick for a few weeks whilst promoting. She said she was still adjusting to being in a group. Even though she looked more "bored" or like she had other places to go (because she did) she still slayed her solo promo stages!! check out her solo stages if you have the time please... I know her music is not to a lot of people's taste and she's a soloist, but I feel like AleXa is a great example of what a female K-Pop idol can do if they're just given the opportunity to do those harder hitting concepts and go ham with the dancing. On the group side, Dreamcatcher has more hard hitting choreo than most female K-Pop groups which I absolutely love. I'm looking forward to CeeCee's reaction to Dreamcatcher in the future! I think Dreamcatcher has a lot of more intricate dances. You should show CeeCee some of their dance practices to see what she thinks.

Wendy and Karina really owned this comeback imo, so it's nice to see them being acknowledged for it. I also agree that for a supergroup with such excellent, talented members, their projects have been pretty lackluster choreo wise. SM really failed at handling and managing both SuperM and GOT

When it comes to levels of difficulty and interesting transitions and movement, I think Dreamcatcher has that. Their dances for Boca, Good night, and Odd eye, just to name a few, are very intricate and hard-hitting, though I'm not sure if the music itself would be to CeeCee's taste as it's more rock/metal-based.

BoA was being checked out makes sense. She was getting a lot of hate at this time from so many different groups of people (Solo stans, Gen 4 idols stans, street man/woman fighter stans, people misdirecting hate for SM at her since she is (was?) on the executive board, and at one point she was receiving hate from her "scandal" involving medication. I'm pretty sure that's why "Forgive Me" was her comeback song). In a lot of the behind the scenes footage for the dance practices she wasn't always there since she was likely prepping for her comeback and still doing Street Man Fighter stuff.

To be fair, I think it annoys the girls too that they can't get some decent choreo in these songs, lol. When I think of a good choreo that fits the theme and song I think of Everglow - First, they really killed that concept, and it was choreographed by Ateez' choreographer too I believe! So I have hope for future releases by girl groups, once companies realize the talent that they have to work with!

I very much agree with Ceces point about female group chores and I think it's especially something that SM is bad at that/ not giving the girls the opportunity. There basically isn't a fierce concept + choreography by SM gg's which doesn't go the chic/unbothered look. I think good examples for difficult and intricate Girl group choreos are Everglow, Itzy & Le Seraffim

i think she was just overworked. she just had covid and went straight from her cb to got and concert prep at the same time. and apparently she’s still was sick from when she recited from covid to her concert

I feel like with girl groups companies are too focused on them looking pretty & thin, which is why they give them simpler choreo that basically is just posing that looks pretty and prevents them from developing stronger (ie thicker) dancer physiques. It’s a shame because I feel like a lot of the girls would like to (& can) do more.

To be fair, all the girls really aren't on the same level as far as dancing. The fact they have Taeyeon shows they were going for girls with great strengths but in different areas. Like you pretty much have BoA nailing the choreo. And hyo the 2nd best dancer can somewhat keep up. While seulgi in the step back dance break is a bit sloppy. Though she's great vocally of course.

I think both Hyoyeon and Boa said the choreo was too easy so … yeah. Plus I think it is just lacking in general not just easy but not interesting especially giving how many strong dancer are in the group it doesn’t make sense. SM tends to do that with their gg for some reason
