As a hero secondary, this match up is actually hell for Hero. I can't believe he pulled it off.

Roy’s game plan is straightforward and easy to execute in this mu unless the hero is really skilled, like bmp is. A hero that can use their optimal spells in rhythm can keep the roy on their heels with projectiles and kill earlier with oomph/psych up/acceleratle. Roy is like a skill check for a hero player, but after a certain point hero wins, Kola’s just ridiculously good.

Can someone explain why he keeps picking bounce? Roy has no projectiles, but if I were to guess, is to increase the odds of finding better options from menu?

Bounce won’t appear as a menu option when active, so in choosing it, even if there’s nothing to reflect, he makes it more likely for him to get useful options

I mean... regular cross slash does 24, limit cross slash does 32 and even Hero´s second charge of side b does 25. Flame slash doing 27 seems fine to me.

@martinluther123 bruh none of that is fine wdym many fully charged smash attacks don't even do 27 and flame slash is frame 6, 2 frames, and has range comparable to tilt byleth side b. (Also I'm an Inkling player so I need ink or a platform to do more than 20 in one interaction)

​@@liquidmiilk7764 Well I definitely think flame slash is kinda broken, it is one of Hero's best spells but it´s not like he always has access to it. Hero players can better the odds of getting it by healing and using buffs, all of that requires MP and good MP management though and it is still rng if you will get it when you need it. Hero´s menu is still one of the best options in the game for sure and flame slash is the main reason imo. I think Hero players would rather lose any other spells over losing flame/kacracke slash. With all of that being said I really don´t like BS characters like Hero and I would be more than ok nerfing flame slash or any other of his attacks. BS characters like Hero should be Low or maybe Mid tiers and not High/Top tiers, and Hero is definitely no Low/Mid tier.

The only RNG I'd consider annoying in his kit is top-decking and crits, both of which he didn't do a single time throughout this set. Every option was deliberately selected by BMP. What makes Hero scary and bullshit is the the sheer number of options he has and that you have to be ready for as the opponent, and the occasional crit.
