I think Exploding Side Kick is marginally better than Falcon Punch because of the shorter wind-up and cool-down, plus it being safer on shield. I'll leave it up to FTP to decide if there's anything else to explain in a video.

If you take every Neutral Special in the game from their source character and tell every character they can take turns picking whichever one they want to complete their kits, Falcon Punch, Warlock Punch, and Exploding Side Kick are going to be the three last to be picked. It's just that once it's down to these three, ESK will probably go first.

I want to point out something really quick. While it is pretty rare, shotput can even collide with physical attacks. I preformed this by accident when I used the attack as my opponent was using BDK. Their attack collided with Shot Put's hurt box, and I ended up B-Reversing that attack. So, while BDK bounces back due to its hurt box, Shot Put B-Reversed hit my opponent dead on. But it's less practical when used in that sense. 😅
