I know I read wayyyy too much into that. Kids NEED so much attention from their parents. A kid being told repeatedly throughout their childhood that their big ass is blocking the tv, so much so that it became their nickname, tells me that he might've been not receiving that attention and would often wedge himself in as an annoyance if needed. And holding onto that nickname into adulthood, even on a dating show, it seems like there's some emotional significance there. I wish more parents saw past the annoying shit their kids do and see the soul that wants to be acknowledged. I wish him all the best.

someone telling a bipolar person that their 'adhd mania' won't match with bipolar mania is wild. I've never even heard of hyperactivity in ADHD being called mania... they are not the same and personally sounds like an offensive excuse not to like someone with bipolar

I hear you but they wouldn’t have worked either way, she could’ve pressed it later though cuz it did seem judgmental. yea i was hoping someone else would say this. bc like we can sometimes have hypomanic episodes or comorbid disorders alongside our adhd that come with mania, but bipolar manic episodes are not the same as adhd hyperactive-impulsivity. all i can guess is maybe she was using "manic" as a descriptor and was trying to explain that they would not mesh due to her hyperactive impulsivity potentially not being a good influence if he were to have a manic episode. either way im glad i wasnt the only one confused by her use of clinical language

10:00 Just to be clear, mania or even just hypomania is not a symptom of ADHD. Mania is a symptom that is caused by affective, or mood, disorders, namely type 1 bipolar disorder, previously known as manic-depressive disorder. ADHD is a behavior disorder, basically meaning your behavior is not typical and causes you problems. Examples of behavioral symptoms in ADHD include hyperactivity, fidgeting, impulsivity, irritability, risk taking behaviors, lack of restraint. There can be cognitive symptoms also, like difficulty focusing, forgetfulness, and a short attention span. It's possible to have comorbid psychiatric disorders, such as having bipolar disorder and ADHD, an anxiety disorder and schizophrenia, major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, or any other combination. While it's certainly possible that she or anyone else can suffer from at least both bipolar disorder and ADHD - which is not common - it's more likely that she claimed to experience mania because she wanted to gain sympathy for rejecting him by trying to relate to him, while also probably being ignorant to what mania is and how ADHD presents itself, the latter of which makes me question if she has been diagnosed with ADHD or just adopted the label. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I wonder if anyone who matched on the button has actually gotten together. They should do a button follow up show if so.

I like seeing older people on the button because i hope i can date some people like this when I'm older. Meghan seemed really nice and she beautiful. And Mike seems like a dope guy. Hope the divorcees find the love they deserve.

When someone asks why you rejected them just say "I didn't reject you, my mental disorder did" and then make one up to help them feel relieved like they just dodged a bullet💀

I relate to Bri cause I also wouldn’t want to date someone with the same mental issues as me. It’s hard enough dealing with your own mood swings and mental breakdowns, let alone someone else’s.

She was definitely capping she heard him talk about something vulnerable and made something up to reject him.
