Next time I vist kolkata I will meet your guide and exchange notes... 😊 The best part about eating with fingers is the sensory pleasure of touching the food and licking the fingers. Our skin is the largest sense organ and fingers are sensitive. So while eating you involve all 5 senses, sight, smell, sound, taste and touch 😊

It was a brillant idea to get a guide. 3 things... don't try unknown street food ssns guidance. You have just travelled onto a foreign land. The spices, water, oil may not suit your gut. 2, most streets, food, historic buildings, localities in major cities have rich history and anecdotes which only a guide can tell you to make your trip memorable. 3 a guide saves you from random scams and harassment 😊

@@twobetweenI have a trivia for SeungHyun... Bengali or North Eastern food has the closest resemblance to Korean food. 12 yrs back when I started exploring korean food I found it more palatable because of the use of fish sauce, dry fish, prawn, crabs, squids, sea weed, bamboo shoot, soybean paste, pork etc. In North East India pork and hot chili is popular, and we get similar fermented soybean paste, AKHUNI. Now for the past 8 yrs I easily make korean food at home.😊 Unlike central parts of India, the north eastern and coastal food has large variety of fish and seafood dishes that you can try.

yeah thanks for visiting our city Kolkata also known as The City Of Joy So no doubt the guide is so good but he is little bit biased to this site of Kolkata (i mean this site known as old Kolkata) And if you watch the videos of other foreigners who have visited Kolkata, you will see that this guide has taken them to the same places & same spots, same restaurants they have taken you. Like This guide has shown you nothing of Kolkata Like 000.1% showed you. And please try to visit Kolkata in the morning then you will get a better experience and you can visit some of Kolkata's popular places like Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge, Indian Museum, James Prinsep Ghat, Science City - Kolkata, St. Paul's Cathedral, Park Street, College Street (College Street is the largest book market in India as well as Asia), Dakshineswar Kali Temple and many more. And It's just that the old site of Kolkata are still left in the Mordern Kolkata. Your mind will be blown when you visit modern Kolkata like NewTown and Saltlake. And this side of Kolkata is totally different from the other side you can't find any similarity between this two sides. In New Kolkata you will see modern transportation, architecture, cafes, hangout places and many more. NewTown And Saltlake these two are Kolkata's Downtown area. So the next time when you come to Kolkata, visit the Modern Kolkata as well. You will like it more and you will create beautiful memories. Take love ✨❣

I too was initially thinking the same thing. But if you think about it, from their perspective, the new Kolkata will be same as any other modern city. As a Calcuttan, I too want that people get to see both old and modern Kolkata, but the heritage Kolkata tour is far more interesting to tourists I feel than modern skyscrapers and IT hubs.

There are many more attractive places in Kolkata. The one's that the guide showed is the old version of Kolkata. New Kolkata is completely different...Myself from Kolkata... starting from New Town area...Biswa Bangla Gate to the Botanical Gardens. The buses have been electrified by the govt of WEST BENGAL with a much smoother and comfortable journey with the ACs on. The taxis are being overruled by app cabs OLA/UBER/SNAPCABS/YATRI SATHI with electric car option available. You missed the famous Rosogolla of Kolkata that's been stamped by Forbes and it also got a GI Tag. Anyway it was nice watching your video.. A warm and heartiest welcome to our place❤. There are many more things to be discovered in Kolkata and in the state West Bengal. Hope to see you again in Kolkata. ❤ Next time, can contact me...as a local guide😊😊 Would love to serve you. Thank you...😊😊❤❤

@@twobetween You may like to look up 'Jason Hickel India' for his articles on AJEnglish about British Rule in India which the British hide from the world [i.e. that Bengal was the richest province in the richest country in the world before British looting and killing of tens of millions in dozens of manmade famines]. Robert Clive [who bribed his way to victory at Plassey 1757] returned home with his 'loot' the Hindi word for plunder as the richest man (excluding kings] in Europe whilst up to 1/3 of Bengal (inc. then Bihar and Orissa) or 10 million died in the Great Famine of 1770. This sort of thing continued until independence with Chucrhill's war crimes in the 1942-3 Bengal famine - and Disraeli's setting up of Buchenwald-like Death Camps for victims of the 1877 Madras Famine which killed 94% of inmates [those fit to do hard labour who were let in and not left to die]. Disreali even held the biggest feast in human history, the 1877 Delhi Durbar to celebrate his naming Victoria as Empress of India whilst 100k a week died in S. India.

2:26 Colonial rule in india officially lasted for 190 years not 300 years. Indian National Army was formed in 1942 under Rash Behari Bose by Indian POWs of the British Indian Army captured by Japan in the Malayan campaign and at Singapore. Rash Behari handed over INA to great Subhas Chandra Bose. he set up provisional government for free India in Singapore. then started the war of indian independence from the British. it was one of the most Epic battle with very little help from the Japanese. after Japan surrender at the end of world war 2 the battle of INA also ended and the soldiers were captured by British army. Brits decided to conduct a public trial on 3 commanders of Ina-Dhillon, Sahgal, Khan. as the news of Netaji with his Army fought against the British spread the entire British Indian Navy revolted in 1946. because of this already weakened British army because of WW2 could not hold onto India and they left in 1947. in 1956 when British pm Clement Attlee came to India then Bengal Governor asked him why British leave India. to which Attlee replied that the role played by Netaji army was paramount for India's Independence.

You have to have the washing machine lassi in punjab. It may sound gross but it isn’t. A clean new manual washing machine is set to washing mode and at least 10 to 15 ltrs of lassi can be made in one go. Why washing machine... because thick lassi is a popular among punjabis. To tackle the huge demand someone cleverly thought of a giant mixer 😂😂😂

Ridiculous. No egg roll ? The quintessential Kolkattan dish. Instead: ice cream sandesh, I wonder how many people have heard of it.

Because we had already tried it 😂 plus the tour wasn’t meant to be about the most famous foods anyway
