I'm probably going there now in december! i love how accurate this recreation is. too bad planet zoo doesn't have dolphins and other aquatics because I would love for someone to recreate the "Marine world" part of the zoo :3

As a zookeeper whos been working at this zoo for 5 years irl it is eerie how good some of the details are. Cant wait too see how it turns out!

As the creator of this zoo I first of all want to thank you Rudi and everybody for the amazing feedback. Anyways to answer your question about if I had any images of the place and yes I do use Google Maps alot to see how some parts are made but I also visited this zoo some months ago and took a bunch of pictures. You did miss the custom frog in the little frog pond but thats just a minor thing everything else was on point. Thanks again!

How did you get the scale properly? I always wanted to start such recreation project, but my buildings and habitats turns not to be in actual scale when compared to real zoos :(

@@dreamtheater2407 I just compare with the pictures I have taken and then go of based on how tall people are in the pictures and simply build it so its kinda the right scale

A lot of our veterinary tv shows are filmed at kolmården so a lot of the backstage areas look really familiar! And the kolmården elephants were a gift to the Swedish king from Thailands king.

I live in Sweden and I have visited this Zoo many times, I’ll tell you that there is nothing inaccurate with this zoo except some animals that aren’t in the right places. But hopefully with all new mods they can recreate the zoo or just add the right animals.Kriss is amazing! Im in love with it. Great work Kriss!

I live in Sweden myself and I actually was at Kolmården just recently, this is amazing because of how accurate this is, wow! I had the thought of doing this myself after I was there last time but I'm very sure I won't even get nearly as close to this. Great job of the creator!

I just need to say that I am really impressed by this zoo recreation. I have studied to be a zookeeper and have been having a lot of practice at Kolmården here in Sweden. My first area was Colosseum and the enclosure in the back was really accurate! I really enjoyed seeing this!

This is amazing, I'm from sweden and i've been to Kolmården many times. I'm blown away by how good Kriss have done with all details and it's a real exactly copy of Kolmåden! 😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 PS: the signs that says "Personal" means staff in swedish, so it's the staff area🙈 And also excuse me if my english is bad🙈

Such a cool zoo!! Can't believe how detailed it is! Even the "boring and sad camel habitat" 🤣. For "face mask face," try using antiseptic mouthwash right before you have to put on your mask and apply a very small amount of coconut oil to your face. The coconut oil is a bit greasy, but helps kill bacteria that can cause skin issues without irritating your skin.

im gonna go to kolmarden for the first time in my life soon im so hyped since i love animals my parents brought my sister and brother there when my brother was 9 and my sister was 2 and im from sweden but live 3 hours away we plan or taking our caravan and staying at a camping site

It's a nice zoo, but i must say having the colors so desaturated kind of leesens the look of it all. Also having the rain on for the whole tour didn't help sell the feel of a day at the zoo, the rain and desaturated colors made it feel a little on the depressing side of things.
