There IS an explanation provided, though, so I don't get why you'd be confused Its not that hard to grasp, and Oda even had Queen go out of his way to explain why crushing attacks could hurt someone internally. Even someone who has extremely powerful Armament Hakj (or in other words, someone with powerful external armor, which is Big Kom's whole thing), through pressure. That version of Big Mom wasn't even using Haki. Stop the cope just because Kidd sucks. This whole crushing does internal damage isn't even a plot point in neither the anime or manga. It is never brought up for the remainder of the story. The only thing we know that does internal damage is the special haki Luffy has and Law's abilities, and guess who damages her, Law. I'm so fk tired of people just going on the hype train of shitting on Kidd,oh but when he was in Wano no one talked sh*t abou him,oh when luffy got one shotted by Kaido no one said sh*t. Bruh being creative and actually being able to apply things to practice is different,it's like arquitects,they have a design in their head but 98% of the work is done by the engineer who tries to logically make it work. If you had kidd's devil fruit and say you had metal which was mostly swords and guns what would you be able to make? a car?, ok how big is the car?,inches of height and how much would it weigh?,how many pounds of metal would you need for that?,how many doors?, how would the rim's be?,how many pistons would the motor have?etc. You would have to be a literal mechanic to do that sh*t,meanwhile kidd here is making big mechas and giant laser guns like a true engineer and people still try to sh*t on him,get off the hate train my guy,yes he wouldn't have been able to beat Big Mom without law but law wouldn't have beaten Big Mom without him and people need to deal with it.

Kidd was hard carried in this fight by law. He really didn't do much damage to her. He was able to get Law the advantageous positions I'll give him that, but truthfully its only because his metal power is able to move big things that makes it easier to keep Big Mom A. distracted, and B. in a single position for longer than 5 seconds. Frankly the fight would likely be the exact same if Kidd was removed and switched with someone that could equally keep her distracted. Heck Jinbei and Franky could have probably done that. This fight inflated his ego with no substantiality to his abilities. He got high off of smelling his own farts after he only distracted Big mom, and Luffy taking down Kaido (something that he made zero difference on and didn't affect in anyway)and that overconfidence and arrogance (SPOILER) is exactly why he failed and got absolutely creamed. Man was acting like he had his army of backup not realizing that they were the ones that did everything. He got a participation trophy at best but his delusion (something his fans seem to share) and arrogance made him think he was hot shit. I will always believe that if Killer was the Captain then the Kidd pirates would be closer to Law's level. It sucks because i did think he was cool he was just super stupid. He thought nothing through and only got this high by an insane amount of luck. He shot himself in the foot and cut off his nose to spite his face and ruined the best thing he had going that would have actually succeeded highly had he thought longer that ten seconds. Luffy might be somewhat stupid, but at least he learns from his mistakes and has a general sense of logic

Ok get off the Kidd hate train my guy😒,ok it's true that Kidd couldn't have beaten Big Mom without law but law wouldn't have beaten Big Mom without him either and that's something people need to deal with🤷‍♂️,Oda didn't write any other character fighting Big Mom except Kidd and law cause those were probably the only people who could beat her. People keep trying to nitpick ways to shit on him when he was the tank taking most of Bg Mom's hits during the fight while law just teleported,yes law did a substantial amount of work hurting big mom form the inside but he mostly just electrocuted her and made her organs more vulnerable,it was kidd's magnetism that put Tons,TONS,worth of weight in metal and stumped her and crumbled her organs,law just gave kidd an opening by making Big Mom weaker,Kidd was the one who really brought the damage to crush her bones. Name any other person that could have done that much offensive power,Franky's laser?no way,Jimbei can't even do any heavy attacks cause he doesn't have a chunk of water,heck not even Zoro's 1080 pound phoenix would have cut her skin after law's opening,law did internal attacks while Kidd did external attacks,it was 50/50 and Kidd haters need to deal with it. He also did his fair share when fighting Kaido,he did help push kaido back and keep big mom busy so luffy and zoro could hurt kaido,he kept Zeus trapped so he couldn't help Big Mom,the fight wouldn't have been too effective without him,everyone put in the work and was useful,it's the way Oda wrote it. Also put some respect on kidd's name,before zoro got conquer's haki name any other supernova that had it besides kidd and luffy?,when every supernova was cowering with fear in the new world from the yonkos who didn't submit and fought them head on?,2 years later and he still wasn't a yonko subordinate in the new world,when kaido came crashing down who stood his ground and resisted him?when luffy was getting healed up on land and eating getting saved by the heart pirates,who was still fighting without healing or giving up?when luffy was gonna fight kaido and big mom who joined him in doing so? My man has all 3 types of haki and has the balls to say that he wants to be king of the pirates,the only other people that have the balls to say something like that are yonkos and that's because they have armadas and sh*t(buggy only said he wants to be pirate king thanks to mihawk joining his crew),meanwhile Kidd is not afraid and with his small crew is willing to go toe to toe with anyone who challenges his dream. Luffy is just lucky he has a good crew to keep him from doing dumb stuff,without his crew luffy has the mentality of a 3 year old and would be dead in the new world, luffy is just lucky as hell and people don't wanna admit it,he has shanks and dragon on his side,when he got one shotted by kaido he was lucky that he had a fk ton of people to help break him out,Kuma sent his crew away giving him time to prepare for the new world cause of a promise done by dragon,luffy gets lucky on so many occasions but people don't admit it. Meanwhile Kidd on his strength and wits alone got as far as fighting kaido along side everyone else,plus peoole talking 💩but right now law would be an afterthought if it wasn't cause of bepo and even then he is still surviving by an inch of his like,similar to Kidd actually cause we all know Oda barely kills anyone in one piece,Kidd's probably gonna come back. Killer couldn't be captain just cause he's level headed and has more depth,to be a captain you need strength,leadership,ambition and a lot of will,killer only has strength,Kidd is a take no bullshit live life by his rules kind of guy,not many people in one piece are like that,he has the strength to pay the bills but was just dealt a bad hand with shanks. Even then it was normal for him to be cocky,we saw in the future he had an attack powerful enough to destroy an armada and cause tons of damage,shanks just new the danger and used the opportunity of Kidd preparing to shoot him to strike,if Kidd used metal to defend and used haki I'm sure he would have put up more of a fight but shanks was smart. People need to lower the hate and show some respect to Kidd,yes he was cocky but those are pirates,they are supposed to be arrogant,treachorous,evil,angry and destructive,hell every yonko is cocky and arrogant except luffy,even blackbeard is arrogant and gets humbled by rayleigh,hate when people get surprised by pirates acting like pirates in one piece.
