I love Vegeta getting honourable send-offs when he's not going to be part of the cast. A month straight of constant battle on a divine world, growing to doubtlessly be time and time again greater than Freeza, Cell, probably even Majin Buu, before being honourably dealt the fatal blow by the God of his people. After so much time fighting, it doesn't even need to be said that Vegeta intimately understands that Kakarot isn't some backwater Low-Class raised by weaklings, but rather the greatest Saiyan to ever live, raised by the gods themselves. For once, a story that kills Vegeta in a very satisfying way, without it coming across as "getting rid" of him. Awesome scene.

@@dankerbell Yeah Vegeta's killed-off a lot in what-ifs that alter things. At the end of the day this is because Carthu understands that the only reason Vegeta was spared in canon was because Goku selfishly wanted to fight him again, since it was the most fun he had had in years and he also didn't win. That's literally it. Goku wanted a rematch where he could win alone, but then they didn't fight again until the goddamn Buu Saga because Akira instantly moved on from Goku really wanting that rematch. You could definitely make the case for Vegeta sticking around to help train Goku up a lot, but it would also get in the way of his legitimate divine duties if he was training constantly. It's way better done in this what-if than some other ones.

A year late, but the “tutorial” is just a good understanding of what you’re writing and tons of practice. Whether it’s based on something else or completely original, you need a good understanding of what you’re writing - define in your head the rules/thoughts of the character/setting you’re writing for something original or analyze the source material for something preexisting. From there, just keep trying (and asking for constructive criticism from people you know) until you write something you find to feel natural and that your (constructive) critics enjoy aswell.

Roshi could've killed him as a child and Earth had people with Power Levels higher than Kid Goku without his Oozaru activating. If his Oozaru did activate then people would be hunting for a boy with a monkey tail during the day and try to kill him and they'd probably succeed. You can write the story with him surviving but consider everything Kid Goku went through in DB if he never trained he would have died

Kakarot reviving Beerus actually makes it all the more wholesome, I mean he already restored the whole universe which Beerus neglected to do such tasks, it's really obvious that Kakarot got all the shit done, but seeing Champa trying to avenge his brother, if I was in his place, I'd do that as well. And not to mention if Tournament of Power was held during this what-if story, assuming Broly would be given training to be a Super Saiyan God, he'd wreck the tournament with no effort at all.

No I’m pretty sure ultra ego would be more terrifying, Broly can already take massive blows without really slowing down or being encumbered. This can be seen within the broly movie as he takes multiple hits from Blue Vegeta, Goku and Gogeta without really slowing down. If he had ultra ego all of that damage would go towards his strength. I wouldn’t be surprised that at that point he would be the strongest being in the universes bar the angels and Zeno’s for obvious reasons.

I've listened to this what if a couple times and of course I absolutely love all of your what ifs, but two things stood out to me that were strange. When Whis and Kakarot teleport to Frieza's ship, Whis surely would have noticed Babidi's teleported flooring to the ship. While Whis likes to play around a little, it seems doubtful he would ignore something that could bring about Majin Boo.Though sidenote, maybe he didn't care because he knew Kakarot would have 0 problems with him, Boo could still have caused some destruction. And 2, Kakarot "Walking" out to space at the end is hilarious, as they are still inside the transport cube lol.
