@sallenvan10 жыл бұрын
gigadude2012 I hope in the month since you posted this question that you have discovered more about this amazingly talented and all-around delightful person we know as Kevin "KO" Olusola. Kevin is a rising international music star most popularly known as the beatboxer (as well as the wearer of many other indispensable "hats") for Pentatonix, but he's also a highly respected and sought-after solo cellist (and celloboxer) in classical, jazz, and "classical pop" genres. He's a Yale grad (in pre-med) who speaks several languages. He started combining his cello with his beatboxing "hobby" during college, went viral on YT, joined Pentatonix (where he now sings occasionally too). Along with Ben Bram (who plays piano and helped arrange the music in this video) and the other members of PTX, he is nominated for a Grammy award for their medley "Daft Punk". (See he and PTX perform and hopefully accept on The Grammy Awards show to be televised in early Feb. 2015.)
@rogerj4129 жыл бұрын
Kevin has been beatboxing and playing cello together for years. It's actually how the other members of PTX discovered him.

SEE THIS IS WHY I TELL YOU PEOPLE THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS A JOKE. This is what it's been missing for near 2 decades now. Pure, raw, undeniable musical talent, unrestricted and allowed to truly express itself without being forced to pander to demographics and appeal to specific audiences solely to maximize profitability. MUSIC!! This is why music is an artform. The mainstream music industry has ruined this amazing artform, by making it a business. I'm 20 going on 21 and even I can say my generation is losing out big time on quality music.
