The "apple chime" effects were extremely pleasing.

Thank you for making this video. Its exactly was I was looking for. Integrating with a modular. Looks like a lot of fun.

I've been considering the Field Kit FX for a while now, this seals it. I'll be picking up the Field Kit prime pretty soon now as well. ;) It's a great video, you really show the similarities and differences - if I was in your boat, I'd be thrilled to have the Koma gear, but not feel ripped off by the modular. ;) They're both their own things. The Intellijel (plus) gear has a lot more depth and breadth to what you can get out of it; but at the same time, Koma gives musicians a fully-functional synthesizer (the world is your oscillator ;) ) for 500 clams - and it sounds great. Thanks for sharing!

The Rainmaker alone is probably more than all of the Koma stuff together.

Your modular rig sounds more hifi in comparison to koma effects, but koma still a lot of fun!!!

So do you prefer your 500$ or 5000$ rig? :D

Cool comparison... but OMG this made me so nervous seeing all the liquids near the equipment.

Just bought the field fx tempting to get them both! Yet realistically I just don’’t think the fx is for this type of application! It’s pretty cheap considering that you get a envelope and spring reverb for the extra bucks! I think drums, acid , techno!

Confused... in your comparison... what did you use to drive the DC solenoid in your “fullymodular” rig. I’ve heard Bastl makes some good modules for that with multiple DC outs compared to the single DC jack on the Field Kit.

Complete newbie to this entire modular world. How are the loops being created? The kit itself? Or does the kit just produce effects? I'm so lost but deeply interested.
@fangPS3 жыл бұрын
The field kit has a build in loop function. The field kit also produces the effects.

If you already have a good size modular this is a pass? Or is it something everyone should own? Thanks for the video

it's all what you feel helps you make great music.. $1 synth or 10k$ synth.. doesn't matter really unless it matters to you

why module in wood box and not get it like rackable module ? i m thinking to buy it but not sure on what version of it !! wood box or eurorack ? great and intresting video !!
@VinceWhitacre5 жыл бұрын
You can get it Eurorack as well. The point is it's not *just* for folks who have modular systems.

I have both wooden box versions and have recently decided to get the eurorack panel mounts for them. I have discovered the magical world of modular & cv control etc through owning these field kits and now want to populate a small rack (Roland SYRE84 ) with the filed kits and a couple of small utilities (necessarily small as the two field kits together take up most of the 84HP space) I decided to do this so I could run both field kits plus the utilities from one power source and still have it reasonably compact.

It seems like a lot (not all) of the functionality is similar, it's just hifi versus lofi.... I just traded someone for the field kit, and effects..... Looks like I'll be doing some lofi stuff.
