Am I the only one here who enjoys watching cgb enjoy playing a decklist HE enjoys? This is obviously right in his wheelhouse. Perhaps I would feel differently if I was actively playing and regularly facing off against this list but hell, I like when cgb is in his blue mage element.

I even had the discontinuity for the koma lol i had a saw it coming available I should have known better.

@@CoachBill315 fortunately it's not in the video lol i was playing an Izzet deck, I actually got his Koma with a discontinuity, and then he had 3 cards in hand and 2 of them were ultimatum, i had one and a saw it coming in exile, so i probably lose anyways unless the next card i had on top was a counter spell.

Mono-red seems to be like walking up to your table, flipping a coin, and if it lands on heads you just mark a win on your card and then leave to go to the next "game."

As u asked in the video finale my humble suggestion after seeing the videos: heartless act u almost didn’t used. Almost always wait to use mass removal effects or the binding. Important note: In the last "best" version you had 1 matchup against a blue deck. I wonder how the counterspells and Koma helped. I just feel you got some massively favored matchups. Izzet is still a nightmare for this deck.

Hey CGB! Question: You played a version of this deck before that was trying out Baleful Mastery. I've also seen versions running Flunk as well. What's your take on early removal? I always find myself losing the games that I go 1 for 1 against aggro.

Heartless act still king, hits every deck. Flunk only good vs white or toski. Baleful too much downside and eliminate comes in 2nd. Make sure you run at least 5 sweepers if you want a good match up.

I agree with the 2x Mystical Dispute 2x Koma although I mainly play Bo3, they are great against U/R Dragons, Mirror, Rogues while not being completely dead to aggro. went 33-7 (plat-400mythic) last week in Bo3 with a similar list. i have the full set of dispute in sideboard as well as 3rd koma as well.

I think Edivam was just a guy who's newer to the game, and didn't have the wildcards to make the meta white deck. So he ran Lurres, and went up against Yorian.. He deserves respect for making it that far with a deck like that.

Love Sultaimatum, still not sure about Esika's Chariot. I like Elder Gargaroth in the spot, though I usually play BO3 and I run a couple of them depending on the matchup. Sure it costs one mana more and dies just as readily to a Giant Killer, but I like that it goes over the top of cards like Skyclave App unlike the chariot, it's safe from your Shadows' Verdict unlike the kitties, and it's an amazing all-rounder if the opponent can't deal with it immediately.

i recently started running 1x Suffocating Fumes instead of Eliminate in the deck and it proved quite useful. there are tons of creatures with 1 toughness in the current meta (especially mono-white), so it hits a lot of stuff. and what makes the card even better is that it has cycling

Interesting. In theory...i dont like this. It seems the same as people throwing ugin into ulti decks. I hate it cause it cant be searched. Think about it: You have 4 ultis. Then all the juice to GET with ulti: alrunds, sea gate, kiora or onyx, vorinclex action maybe. Point is. Its all expensive. Thats all expensive stuff. Now you want to add MORE expensive things on top of that. You cant cut the standard sulti needs down more or they will fail searches. It just seems too much. Maybe im wrong.

Eh, cultivate or another land drop are almost certainly dead cards once you have like 7+ basic lands on the field anyway. Might as well have the better land base with fewer basics and accept that those cards may be dead draws in the super late-game.

Sure i ll give you a reason: shuffler. It is impractical to use more than 3 cultivates / passages but lets be real here: the shuffler is designed to harshly punish control decks.
