THAT'S what's up with CGB, huh? He worked in a record store. It all makes sense now. I always wondered how he was able to find so many "good" 80s songs during his streams. As we all know, 80s music is mostly a steaming pile. But there are shining exceptions to that rule (like Devo). CGB has introduced me to quite a few awesome 80s songs I'd never heard before.

I've found that a Jund deck using Korvold, Fae Cursed King can really pop off using a lot of the red/black treasure factories, paired with prosperous inkeeper, jaspera sentinel and binding the old gods soon as Korvold hits the board he can just devour treasure token after treasure token, growing in power and drawing cards before using all that mana to swarm the board with more bodies.

Standard is straight up Historic atm. 1. One guy or one planeswalker + 37 counter/removal spells. 2. Turn 2 win with aggro. 3. Close to infinite T3-4 copy spells and win with class cards. 4. Goblins 5. Insane legendary ramp with bard class. 6. Insane life gain with cleric class 7. Angels Short of flashback standard is almost more historic than historic at this point.

I know it's jank. But I personally like playing with Narfi, Betrayer King. Bringing him back every time they kill him. The synergy with Ebondeath and Lolth. Eye twitch and Shambly cash for early chumps. Then you can play drauger or Jorn or Iymareth what ever. Deck is neat. Not necessarily competitive. But annoying and fun to play.

The treasure ramp + draw + stall package seems like the single best way to get to late game at the moment. Been having a good time with a Rakdos version of this; Kalain and innkeeper are analogous in function, so either color combination works. Just depends on what haymakers you want to run.

@@sairentoeko Not mad, just rolling my eyes at how CGB warps the constructed meta. First game in play yesterday was a 30 minute mirror match. Took it to ladder and faced today’s deck in the third game and it took 22 minutes (I was mistaken in my earlier comment, checked untapped and saw I only played one game in play queue). These are fun against the rest of the meta and too much of a time sink for me in the treasure dork package mirror right now. It’ll be interesting to see how that impacts the archetype’s popularity over time.
