Don’t knock Johnny he keeps you burning rods. All these talented operators are deep down your friends.

O I'm definitely not knocking him at all. He's a good operator and yes, his skillset definitely keeps me busy. Lol

A small portable pressurized sprayer from a hardware store can be used to spray water on the ground and prevent fires. Less than 50 bucks and makes life simpler.

The area was very dry and the wind was up pretty good where I was. Any water I sprayed would be soaked up or evaporated within minutes, so I'd be in the same boat only stopping to re-wet the area instead of stopping to put the fire out. Skinning the ground to bare dirt in my work area and leaving it dry was the best option so that's what I did

You are laying down some good looking beads, what are you running for an air compressor ?
@NAWeldingandFab Жыл бұрын
Thank you. In that video, I was running a Porter Cable 120v air compressor, but I've since then upgraded to a gas engine driven compressor. The PC just couldn't keep up with my airflow needs when I use the arc gouger or even a 1/2" impact gun

I almost miss the original 1, but I have no idea where it landed when the rubber ends gave up and let it fall off. I just hope it didn't deal anyone else any misery when that happened. I'll probably end up welding a nut on the end of the rod so I can use an impact or drill
