7 years later, just as good as it was the first time. I will be doing that tomorrow. With a little modification of my fire-wood splitter...er...I mean pin press!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one taking links out. Great pin pusher. Way to go. Great video.

Nice setup, I had a portable unit for pressing pins but it was cumbersome and hard to keep lined up. Like your inventiveness. Phil

Nice tool you got, i had to help cat 330d put it's track back on. Wasn't easy but we got after all, i was pulling and pushing it with my wheel loader.

Good job. I have a PC-40. Wish I had a narrow bucket and a pin grab coupler and front hydraulics. Just amazing what these little machines can do isn't it. Looks like you have done just about everything one can do to and with the machine. I've got to replace a lower track roller and have what appears to be a weak swing and track motor. Since both are the same direction I'm wondering if it is a low relief setting?

Absolutely fascinating! I never knew the tracks were tensioned by grease gun pressure even!
@BoTMSapper11 жыл бұрын
How do you think tension is kept on the track's, Not like a tank where they have auto tension. They have two nuts, the first one, the size of the grease nipple (standard) 2nd one is a larger nut which can be removed to release the pressure... Good old KZbin, make's you learn new things each day.

You should try using a forklift next time. I use it all the time to take off our tracks. It will save your back. Great video.

@thequattro20v Thanks...putting tracks back on can be a pig of a job,more so if you pinch your fingers in them.

Man those tracks are worn out! Nice vid.

Some use grease piston with a coil spring as well. This allows for movement when rocks etc get in between chain and sprockets. So many jerks who know it all insult others on Equipment comments. Most only run lawn tractors.
@miguelcarter19493 жыл бұрын
Those sprockets are shot almost no teeth left but that home made press is badass

Nice work. Do you think I can remove a link on my Schaeff ZRH16(3.5ton) and still get it on? One link is broken and I have to replace it with a new or I can shorten the track with one link.
@grizzly987110 жыл бұрын
If you have enough adjustment on the tensioner,can get it back enough to make up for link taken out,it should go on.
@MrGlendragon10 жыл бұрын
blown away by how easy you make it look, I seen many KZbin clips on how to remove and replace the tracks but never nothing like this, I'm now subscribed, just one question, why are you shortening the tracks?
@grizzly987110 жыл бұрын
There was no more adjustment on the track tensioner,so taking a link out gave a bit more adjustment when the track went back on.
@BoTMSapper11 жыл бұрын
Can tell you have done this a few times.
