Hi mate, thanks for the tip, So only fair I give one back, When you finished this machine ` make sure when setting the low and high and tick over on the strimmer always do it with the correct spool head on and the correct amount of line out as this will effect the speed, people don`t realise that the weight of the spool head and the correct length of the spool cord all contribute to the setting for it to run correctly, if you don`t carbon will build up in the piston much faster and also will over run the machines speed, In lawn mowers without the blade some mowers will not run, as the blade adds weight and influences the governor

bought one of these second hand 10 years ago covered in muck and thought I'd get a year or two out of it then chuck it, Its still going as good as when I bought it and I've done nothing but dust it off now and then and spray its moving parts with lube, Brilliant machines..!!

"Brilliant machines..!!" It was built by Komatsu-Zenoah. Komatsu as in construction equipment Komatsu. Maybe that's why. I have one of these except older with points ignition -late 70's model.

Hi I have a kubota d420 with the same carb mine is missing the lever to the button on the bottom of the carb not sure what it does, also I can't find a fuel tank with the primer on the tank do you have any idea where I might get the parts needed or what I need to search for, really want to get this going any help would be great kind rgds Paul

Hi Paul, the lever is to prime the Carburettor prior to starting the machine. Spare parts may be available on eBay or search Google for Kubota d420 Spares. Regards.
