Komi Can't Communicate Gets Representation Right and Here's Why

I feel like my experience with neurodivergency is one where I often really struggled to make friends and have interests that seemed "normal" to most people. This happened to often leave me locked out of a lot of social situations, or those that I could join in, I often felt out of place or overstimulated from sensory issues. This, I feel still really has not at all changed for me as I get older. I'm still seen as "that weird kid" and now, people can even more obviously almost smell me being neurodivergent and I swear that sends me into a paranoid frenzy much like here in this anime, so I feel like Komi-San's experience is decently comparable to mine, though autism is a spectrum and I feel no two people will ever act exactly alike.

No depiction of Autism will ever be perfect as Autism functions on a spectrum so no two cases will ever have identical experiences, but they can represent a particular range of cases quite well. Tell me some of your experiences with neurodivergence or even the show! I'd love to read some stories

I will say with komi It's nice to story acualluy adress the over lap between autisic and queer people something that always felt like the anime cummunity (inderrecdlly the over lap between the anime and alt/fashion cummunties) was always very indicative of :)
