Just purchased the Komplete Kontrol S61 and Ultimate 11 Bundle. Watched your videos prior to installing and it helped. I kept getting hung up though on a few of the downloadable libraries and had to restart my computer a number of times. I found a fix--at least for me. As soon as I stopped running my Internet Virus Protection program, the downloads were quick and did not stall.

That's a good tip. I just run Windows Defender and it doesn't seem to cause issues. Of course I also use another virus program, but that is manual run only (Malwarebytes)

Just went through the exact same problem with a Komplete Ultimate 11 install. The install hung up but there was no way to know it hung up as there wasn't an error message. Later installed everything that didn't require an update which went well. When I tried to install everything that required an internet update I checked everything at once. Bad idea, same hang up. After force quitting (I'm on a Mac) I started doing the updated downloads individually which seems to be working. I started the download process 2 days ago so Native Instruments has yet to resolve the problem with "Install All". They should include a link to your video as part of Native Access. If I hadn't found your video I'd have been really stuck as there is no other information about this problem on their site. Thanks for doing this.

Just wondering... since I have a 3 TB internal drive on my iMac. Say I download all of komplete 11 onto my iMac (including content), can I then move all the content to an external later and get the space back on the iMac? Thanks :)

Yes. But if you install some of the content to one path, say on your OS drive, then when you move it to another drive, you will need to link the new path. For things like Kontakt, it's simple. For some of the Reaktor libraries it may be quicker to just re-install to the new path. OR you should also be able to use Native Access to establish that link. But the answer is, yes.

I have a problem with Plugin size. I installed my KOMPLETE 11 for Fl Studio 12 and every NI plugin looks too small unlike the stock DAW ones. I went in image-line support page and tried all methods that could be related to the program and even my computer but it did not solve anything. leaves me with the guess that is not that but Native Instruments related. Yeah, it's actually ideal to put the content on a secondary non-os hard drive. If you are going external, USB3, e-Sata, or thunderbolt would be better than USB2.

No everything opens in Kontakt. Kontakt is a sampler, so it hosts sample libraries like Action Strikes, The Maverick, ect... Reaktor is it's own plugin and hosts many synths and effects inside it, like, FORM, Kontour, Polyplex. Guitar Rig 5 Pro also is it's own plugin, and it can host some of the included effects like Reflektor, and Traktors 12. Absynth 5, FM8, RC24/48 and more are their own plugins as well. You don't need "install it in Kontakt" Just use Native Access, set your content and library locations, and it will all be ok.

Yes, all of the plugins are VST compatible. A cheaper way would be to purchase a used version of K9-10 or even K9-10 Ultimate for less than half of retail and then upgrade to K11 ultimate. Just make sure you are not getting ripped off and that NI approves the sale and serial transfer before you buy Komplete used. For me it is worth it, for you it may not be. I'm having trouble understanding why you think hard drive is preferable to just downloading the content. Besides faster installation and the ability to directly mount image files, is there anything else the hard drive offers?

Not really, except you already have a hdd with the content on it so you don't have to fill up one of your hdds to download the content or to save backups of the content. Plus, this is massive! For me, it would take several days, perhaps even a week to download everything, but then again, the US has some of the worst internet speeds in the world. If you live somewhere else and don't mind filling up one of your current hdds, nothing wrong with the DL version. But since there isn't a price difference, why not go ahead and save the DL time and save space on your current hdds.

No, it's not BAD. It's just usually a good idea to install samples to a different hard drive for a few reasons. A simple one is if your OS drive happens to crash, you lose everything, and samples take up a lot of space. Another is read/write speed under heavy load and bandwidth. This is even more important if you are using HDDs and not an SSD. If you want to move libraries it's pretty easy, or you could always uninstall and re-install. No. The Hdd that it ships on is for installation media. They use to ship on several DVD's, one single HDD is easier to install from.

If you are directing the content to the location where the content already exists it will NOT double the content. Just as you can't install the same exact app twice, you can't have two exact files with the same exact name twice. The apps/plugins will install though on the different device.

Nvme SSD is totally different from spinner Hard Drives. You should have no problem installing the samples to the internal SSD.

The HDD they give you is for installation purposes, not for running the samples from. Komplete use to come on 10+ DVDs, so it makes more sense to just ship one HDD. The space needed depends on what version you have and if you install everything. Of course. There is nothing different in the content, it's just the serial number that is different. For upgrade/update/crossgrade versions, the serial number is slightly different and requires a previous registered version for the serial to work. That's the only difference, content is the same.

You should update to Pro Tools 12. Pro Tools 8 uses RTAS plugins and those are not made anymore. Komplete 11 is provided in VST, AAX, and AU plugin versions.

You will want the applications on your OS drive. But you can move the Kontakt libraries to an external drive and then open Kontakt and direct it to the new location. For FL Studio, you will need to add the VST path for FL to scan.

I actually did not experience your issues showcased in this video...but rather,I am having problems with Massive and Reaktor.Massive does not have any presets in it,but otherwise...it works...whereas with Reaktor,the presets are there..but there is no audio. I got a little confused with the reason for sending your "VST 64 Location" to the C drive instead of E drive ? I thought "Content" and "VST" where more or less the the same. Also, My system has 250 Gig C drive, and 2 Terra byte E drive. In actuality, I only have 169 Gigs Remaining on C drive Will this be enough for the Applications and VST downloads? I am Talking Ultimate 11

No they are different. The VST, or AAX, or AU, or DX, or whatever, is the application. The CONTENT is platform/format agnostic. Meaning that the VST version of Kontakt will use the same content that the AAX version will use when hosted in Pro Tools. The content is usually sample files that take up a large amount of space. 160GB will be enough for the applications, direct the sample content to your E: drive.

I went ahead and arranged my file paths similar to how you suggested, but one thing I am not noticing are the Icons in NI Access, that differentiate the Content from VST stuff, or Library stuff. You won't ruin anything, but there can sometimes be issues with the Windows registry and some DAWs if you don't have your applications in the correct folder that it is looking for. The applications don't take up much space anyway, it's the libraries that are huge and should be on a secondary hard drive.

Did you refresh Native Access? If you just deleted the content, go to Programs and Features and choose to uninstall it. Then startup Native Access and it should show up. OR assuming you have the drive to install from, you should be able to mount the ISO and install that way.

The error message is "xml processing error (document ill- formed). The external hard drive is brand new. Also I have uninstalled the NI to see if that would help but it didn't. BenoniStudio I figured it out. I got a 12 ultimate bundle with the kontrol s49. I had to backdoor the process by logging into NI online, searching my products. Found a 12 select serial code. Went back to Native Access, put that serial code in first. Unlocked. Then I put my 12 ultimate code out the hardrive box in, unlocked. Thanks

I’m a Mac user but I’m having trouble downloading their free software libraries , well basically i only installed kontakt6 or 7 and one synth type of library , I downloaded komplete kontrol to begin with and that alone where it says instruments it said it was empty and there was no instruments and no presets I’m not sure if it’s because I have to download other libraries. I was looking more into particularly having band ensemble or the free guitar plugins but I’m not sure what library that would be in , it said komplete kontrol but that alone said empty. Also even when some instruments did show because I downloaded some synth library it said empty when I tried opening it as a plug through a daw, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, and I can’t seem to find videos that pin point this or use Mac. If anyone knows anything I hope you can help me I’ll rlly appreciate it , sorry for going on so much I’m just new to this stuff as well :P

The total install size is closer to 400GB because of the compression that is used. You will want to install the applications to your OS hard drive, but you can install the libraries anywhere you. Install to another internal or external HDD is fine, actually, it's recommend.

Hi ! I bought today the ultimate 11 & installation went great, everything seems to be installed. But... when I looked in the big samples directory It only installed 328 GB & not 500 GB. Is that OK ? It has 69 items in it, & not 88 as I saw U had in that directory. Should I worry ?

Um.... it depends on where you installed everything to. I have more items in my Native Instruments folder because I had Komplete 8 and Komplete 9 and they came with some things that are not in Komplete 11 Ultimate, older libraries, Battery 3... plus I have other libraries as well. the 328GB sounds right. If you check Native Access is everything installed? Are you missing anything when you look for it? If you are not missing anything, you are probably good to go. The entire install size is about 375GB according to NI, but that includes the apps as well.

OK thanks, I think I have it all. Maybe the 328 GB is because I have an SSD or NTFS so that it reads it differently than other drives. In Access it shows me that everything is installed. BDW- I think they made an update to the installation program because I managed to install it all by one click on the install all bottom. It was great ! Thanks again man.

Try uninstalling Native Access and download the latest version from NI www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access/ Try installing the downloads one at a time.

Good stuff bro.. It's been a while since I installed this shit so I couldn't necessarily recall but based off your video I guess the AAX plugins for Pro Tools is mandatory? What's interesting is I've never seen AAX plugins in my PT10 until I installed Komplete 11.. What sucks is that these AAX plugins in my PT tend to crash my sessions. I thought I screwed up by accidentally selecting an AAX option when downloading all this shit but I guess I didn't. I was hopeful that I could reinstall it without the AAX plugins so I can utilize all the dope shit that came with this ginormous bundle.. Maybe I'm just ignorant when it comes to the new AAX plugins but with my application and circumstances I feel like it's not necessary and it's been burning my fucking ass especially considering how much I paid for this shit and I can't utilize that shit in PT.. Any feedback would be appreciated bro.. Thanks..

I have a problem with my native access regarding the Massive installation..... When i installed native access, on "installed products" it already said Massive was installed? The problem is that Massive is not installed anywhere on my computer, and I have searched all over for any trace of it.. It doesn't even appear in the folder where you uninstall programs on your computer from controlpanel?.. I can't re-install it in Native Access, and there is no way for me to fix it.. What do I do? Can anyone please help me? I spent alot of money on this, and Massive is the one thing I wanted the most. How can i fix it..

Check the folder you download to and see if the Massive installer is in there. Assuming you are on Windows did you check Programs and Features to see if Massive is installed?

I never downloaded it, that's the thing. It just says on Native Access that it is, but I never myself installed it, and there are no files at all for massive. And I can't even choose to uninstall to then re-install it.. I'm basically fucked

No, it doesn't work. I could try to download Native Access again though. See if that fixes it.

I installed all of the plugins in the wrong files, so I uninstalled them, and now the Native Access says I still have 4 plugins, and when I go to the files it says they're in, in the instalation path, they don't exist anymore. So how can I reinstall the plugins when Native Access thinks I already have them installed?

I bought the Komplete 12 on a hard drive for two simple reasons. 1) to speed up the installation process, as it will install from the hard drive, and 2) to avoid the download process and any problems that arise from the speed of the internet connection. However, I can not make the offline installation, I need to be connected to the network, and the installation is hopelessly slow, go with the speed of the turtle. Can anyone explain to me how I can speed up the installation process and why should I be connected to the network, once I bought the Komplete on a hard disk. The same problem I had with Komplete 11. I can not understand this philosophy of the company. It looks very dumb. Please if anyone can explain what is going on, can I finally do something wrong? if it is to fix it. According to NI Native Access.
