Hey DDS thanks for this. I just bought an M32 & a Maschine MK3 and currently learning how to create a beat. I'm mainly a guitar player but this looks so much fun I had to give it a shot! And maybe I can even try to sample a few guitar licks in Maschine when I know my way around.. I always watch your NI expansion vids. In fact I bought a few thanks to your "all sounds" reviews. Some of my new additions are Crate Cuts, Magnetic Coast, Infamous Flow, Faded Reels. Looking to recreate some old school Badu-D'angelo vibes.. Keep up the good work man 👍

I'm fed up with the M32. My Scale, Arp, Browser and Plugin buttons won't light up and i can't use the single key chord function which is something i absolutely need as i'm not really good on the keyboards. I don't need the portability of the M32 so I'm getting rid of it for the Arturia Keylab Essential. It's a little pricier but it's much more intuitive to use and i think it's worth the extra bucks.

Thank you so much for making this video! I was torn between this and the Launchkey Mini because it had pads. Seeing as though the M32 comes with so much software, and I can use it Ableton (probably not), it makes sense to get this instead.

Ciaoooo and thank you for the great review! I've a couple of questions. The 2 strips can only used to change octaves or can they be used to modulate and/or apply effects on the notes we are playing? And can I assign a sound (recorded by me) to each key? For example if I wish to split a song chorus into pieces, could I assign each piece to each key? For example in the chorus "No rhyme, no reason, No time, no season, No rhyme, no reason, This time, you're leavin'" I wish to assign "No rhyme, no reason" to one key, "No time, no season" to another key and so on... and play each part that I wish only pressing the right key. And could I also slow down or speed up the tempo of the chorus? Thank you heaps!

Great tutorial, how good does this little monster work with maschine 2.0 software? Kann you use the knobs to start and finish sample chops?

How do you get your m32 on "pad mode" I tried duplicating your process and I dont get any sounds from it. I want to be able to record with expansions using it in pad mode.

You probably will have to go down or up the octaves to get to the spot where the sounds are laid out.

Appreciate it, you'd have to chop the sample in the software and play the chops on the keyboard. I don't think you can but i could be wrong. lol

Yo how is it recognizing Haltime, Keyscape, snares and shit?? I thought it only recognized nks files? I just bought the Arturia Keystep over this but I feel like I made a mistake.

It recognizes all vsts. You may just have to browse on your computer screen. But once it’s loaded you can use the knobs etc.

Thank you for watching. You have to put it into key mode. There’s a key mode button on the m32. I’m not by mine at the moment, so if you don’t see it, let me know and I’ll explain.

As of right now, I wasn't able to get the transpose buttons to work. I'm sure there's a way to make it work with the built in templates on the keyboard. I'm just not 100% on how to do it just yet. I'm going to look it up.

What does “Key Mode” do? Haven’t been able to find it anywhere, I saw you used it with drums in combination with the fixed velocity (which I understand)

It spreads all of the sounds in your group across the keyboard instead of the keyboard only playing the selected sound from the group.

DDS o would like to thank you so much for the video as I did not know the shift button means so much in operating the Komplete kontrol,question when using Maschine and Komplete kontrol should I use the shift button to get the root note or is it automatic? Thanks brother

Yes Shift is a major part of komplete kontrol and Maschine. Shift + Scale will get you to where you can set your root note. I hope that’s what you were asking lol

I’ve heard a couple things “wrong” with this keyboard. Apparently you can’t assign MIDI CCs and also that the velocity curve is super low. I read that you need to press super hard to get a high velocity on it but still never reaches the max 127. Is this true? False?

I just got mine about a week ago and it has a nice feel you don’t need to hit the keys hard for a high velocity

Player, I have a question for ya; can you use the M32 with imaschine2 in keyboard mode or if you put some scales on different pads can you control the pads with the M32?

Are you running this on logic? I can only get the keys and knobs to work in logic. The buttons will not light up or work in logic.

Not necessarily. You can open the Komplete Kontrol software as a VST and use all of the functions. You may lose ideas mode. But that’s probably it.

Windows update messed up my komplete 12 ultimate. So how come you dont have any problems. What is the operating system you use?

You may need to update your library via Native Access. But, I don't use windows.

This issue should be fixed in the latest version of windows 10, people were mainly having this issue with the mock one keyboard I have a mk 2 and did not have this issue. I’m also running insider builds on windows 10 though.

Native Instruments is the worst VST company on the planet. No support, Komplete Kontrol full of bugs and obsolete piece of absolute garbage. I regret wasting few thousands of dollars on NI. The worst software mistake I have ever made :-(
