The moments between kon and orihime in this episode are so precious, ichigo gently holding orihime in her arms because he is worried sick about her but thankful shows, he doesnt want to her suffer showing him moody, and with kon we never ever saw him being thankful or happy with him in canon this moments are precious and shows how much ichigo cares about them

And I'm glad they did, Ichigo is now much more aware of his powers and his limitations and he knows that without help he wouldn't have been able to get to where he is now, that's why now he's grateful and instead of trying to do everything alone he relies on his team when necessary. The characters seem a lot more mature in the anime. In the manga Ichigo does actually beat him up but in this version Ichigo genuinely thanks him.

There are subtle changes in Ichigo's attitude and behavior from the current anime compared to the manga. It's a great relief for the character who always seemed to be stagnant, and Ichigo's development and maturation are more noticeable now.
