Mainly because everyone else relied on their schrifts instead of their base quincy abilities like Hirenkyaku, Blut, and Sklaverai. With S2, it definitely improved that significantly by having most of the quinciee use Sklaverai when battling Ichigo and the other shinigamis.

The reason for his unstealable Bankai is his hollow part, To Quincy's hollows are essentially a poison close proximity, like purifying (Like Soul reapers do) is potentially deadly. This was explained early in the Manga and anime as the reason the Quincy's were eliminated, Where the Soul Reapers maintain the balance of the universe, the Quincy's had a Kill them all approach, which would have offset the balance. It has been a while since I read or watched, so not sure if a retcon happened. But this is what i remembered as to why there were few Quincy's left in the world if the living

This is not his true bankai. That's why they couldn't steal it. And they can't purify hollows cuz quincy don't have asauchi. Asauchi were created to purify hollows when new world was created by noble families after sealing the Soul King. And the only one who can make asauchi is Oetsu Nimaiya "God of the sword". My opinion is proved by the fact that in primorial world Soul King was destoying souls of hollows instead of purifying them. That means you don't need ability to purify hollows but instrument

No he was overpowering, I done the scalling and ichigo's Fullbring bankai is about a 100x multiplier and opie's vollstandich+ayon is about 30-50x multipler, which means ichigo was about 2-3x stronger

It makes me sad. When I was a kid/teen, I was absolutely OBSESSED with Bleach. Then TYBW released and it was such garbage due to the way they rushed Kubo that it was a major blemish on the memory. So, while a younger me would have been over the moon upon hearing that Bleach was coming back and going totally crazy, in the present I haven't even touched the TYBW adaptation. Because I fear it being just as bad or worse.

Being strong is one thing, but they are insane here. Like when hollows were fighting ss it was decently balanced, except aizen. Now the Quincy >>>>>>> everyone. Except a few. You would think with a decimation you wouldnt have such strong warriors. While ss captains also improved during the era of bleach. Except the head captain, who became nicer. But everything else is just screwing ss over to create a strong enemy. Chars barely use their techniques like kido etc, strong chars act dumb, nothing works and bankais get sealed. It was just for plot.

Its not that i have an issue, its just that its plot bs. And you mention the older ones being beasts. Yet the kenpachi's title was taken by another each time. Kid zaraki was limiting himself vs unohana. Was praised as one of the strongest prodigies ever. Hitsugaya is a young unique prodigy. Aizen is a god. Urahara, aizen and the other guy are geniuses. Invented new techniques etc. And many others mentioned as being very strong. And now the older ones were the beasts. The older ones that are still here also got beaten. He just said to fit the plot powercreep. Many points of earlier bleach point the other way. But again obviously writing to fit the plot, even if it doesnt fit. Usually happens when characters grow too powerful. And ofcourse everything is for plot. But there are different ways to handle it. This is obviously just a meta way of handling it. Characters act dumber than they are. Kido wasnt used and normale stuff doesnt even scratch them. It isnt natural, compare it to ichigo when he first became a shinigami and getting his ass kicked. It was natural progression. Compared to dragonball super. Ohh there is something even stronger, ohh even stronger, oh even stronger. Goku is close to beerus, no he isnt. Beerus is still a lot stronger. Roshi enters TOP instead of gotenks, while z showed that power negates almost all techniques. Etc etc. Compared to when og DB happened.
