@kuroheart2682 Жыл бұрын
@@MrB00mbang idk bro, i used to think the same but then realized that most people in JP don't even know how it look/smell like, so besides the high prices, i think it's kinda easy to smoke some without people knowing it's actually weed
@MrB00mbang Жыл бұрын
@@kuroheart2682 The Japanese are not stupid. They know what weed is and the cops will throw you in jail for months on end if they find the smallest amount. Once upon a time I knew a guy that got thrown in jail with Yakuzas and other violent criminals because his stupid friend had sent him ONE JOINT in the MAIL, which he ofc never asked for. This was a guy who loved Japan. We had to get ambassadors and lawyers involved to get him out of jail… He got a really horrible stomach infection, which to this day causes him issues. This was a guy who loved Japan, didn’t even smoke weed there, and he intended to live there for the rest of his life. He was banned for over a decade and only after much lobbying was able to go back. HE DIDN’T EVEN SMOKE WEED! One day he just came back to his apartment with the Tokyo Police having broken in and searching and confiscating his things. These people have zero tolerance. One joint you never even smoked, as long as it is linked to you, can have you thrown in jail. As for the Japanese themselves, it’s different, as one Miyachi video presents, there’s a guy shouting “Japanese Ganja Party!” Getting caught with illegal drugs in Japan is still dangerous and risky, but as in all countries the locals know how to do it with little risk. I love Japan and would live and smoke weed there, at no one’s expense ofc, but the risks are astronomically high, especially, but not limited to foreigners. Getting high can make you paranoid and anxious. Could you imagine getting thrown in jail for months on end for one measly little piece of paper filled with a dried flower?

Great episode, it reflects Nishinari in a good way. I have been to when i stayed in Japan for Holiday's. You can actually see the decline on the neighborhood. It's a mirror in front of the other stuff I have seen around Japan. At the time i was there start of 2020, there was an abandoned/not cared for building at the border of the neighborhood if you walk in from the north (Namba/Dontonbori) it's littered with tents from homeless people. They probably cleaned it up before the Olympics, like they were cleaning up Akihabara. Walk a little further in, you see people down on their luck, drunk and behaving strange. Even then people were nice, Osaka has a more relaxed vibe compared to Tokyo, if you ever get the chance to visit Osaka, go and walk around, Nishinari is a 20-30 min walk from Dontonbori and you can find some cool stuff to see and enjoy some of the best and cheapest food around.
