LordJyggalag don't forget that Kong was injured by the bullets, helicopter blade and was weakened in the movie and could've possibly died if the other guy didn't show up to save him. King also had trouble with getting restrained by the chains during the movie but Godzilla was able to tank missiles and run destroyed the bridge with ease. However the only problem I see is that if Kong deals enough damage, he would be able to beat him or use his weight since Godzilla was pinned down by the buildings. But all in all, my vote goes to godzillc

Great commentary! I think the most likely scenario is Kong fighting alongside humans that help give him an edge. Kong is the more sympathetic monster, so it's only natural that most folks will be rooting for him, and kids would probably dig him being a "good guy". Now, what the heck the humans could really do is really up in the air considering their success rate in the Godzilla franchise.

It seems very unlikely for King Kong to beat Godzilla. Let's get this out of the way first. Godzilla has a much larger fan-base than Kong, this means that more people would want Godzilla to win, it is the majority vote. Following Kong's apparent "win" in the 1962 movie: King Kong vs Godzilla, Godzilla fans have been very disgusted by the outcome of this movie, since then, Those fans have been waiting 55 years so far for the rematch for the two monsters, which would finally come in 2020. Now for the factual stuff: Kong cannot defeat Godzilla in a one on one fight. Kong may have the speed advantage but challenging that to Godzilla's sheer size and weight (90,000 tons) as well as his long tested fighting abilities, he would have no chance. Now if you come complaining that Kong is growing in size to rival Godzilla, then hat would be kind as well. Godzilla is also growing size as well. And if you compare increasing of size between them, Godzilla would always be larger as it has already been larger ever since. Another thing is, you may remember that back in the 1972 movie, Kong used lightning to increase his strength but Godzilla can do that as well. Godzilla can regenerate and gain strength through natural electricity (but not man-made electricity). With this, Godzilla can boost the strength on his Atomic Breath which is already devastating when coming in contact with Kong as his fur is highly flammable.

I think the Godzilla Vs Kong film will go a bit like this. The first act will reintroduce both characters and establish human characters and story. The first half of the second act will be Kong and Godzilla battling it out. Probably similar to the scenes where Godzilla fought the M.U.T.O.s. Then in the second half of the second act a new monster will emerge somewhere. I can see this leading to Godzilla and Kong teaming up to take down this new threat for the third act with the film ending with both Godzilla and Kong returning to their respectful homes to conclude the films. This way we can get more Godzilla films and a possible second Kong film.

I agree with you. Kong's universe, other than having large creatures, is subject to the boundaries of reality, and that really limits his mythos. His moneygrab longevity is certainly questionable if he just stays within the Kong universe. Godzilla, on the otherhand, has such a huge leeway in his mythos that... you could just about cross him over into any other universe. And you could kill him off at any time, and still find some unscientifically scientific way to bring him back. In short, I hope they don't actually kill off Kong because there's no acceptable way to resurrect him later.

Let's face the facts 1.Kong in the movies is still a baby, not fully grown, and his height from the initial scene to the actual movie grew atleast three times. 2.Baby Kong easily killed a full grown Skull-Crawler even after he was attacked by Napalm and The Skull-Crawler earlier. 3.Baby Kong is easily very durable, he only got cut by the helicopter's blades and fire doesn't even singe his fur. 4.Godzilla got taken down by a building, so if you're gonna say Kong went down to Napalm, atleast Napalm>Building 5.We have no idea whether Godzilla was unaffected by the nuke, it is possible he was grievously injured and spent decades onside the sea to absorb radiation to heal.
