I love this video. It’s so raw and emotional. Great actress who showed real emotions. For those saying she was a gold digger, that’s not accurate. She didn’t ask for any of the stuff he gave her and seemed hesitant to accept his gifts, offers, help. I think she is hesitant bc she has experienced the loss of her husband. Not only is she still grieving her loss but she’s also scared of a “good thing” not lasting. For anyone who’s ever lost a loved one, you start to detach yourself from the things you love bc you think they will also leave you too. I think it’s a mix of her finally realizing she wasn’t ready to move on yet and her feeling of guilt for having a great guy who loved her. She may think she doesn’t deserve his love and that SHE is the one who isn’t enough for him “tsi txaus koj vim kuv tsi ntxim koj txoj kev hlub”. I also like the symbolism of the two keys he gave her. The first key was a key to his home and his heart, his most intimate space. She accepted that key bc she thought ok maybe I can do this and love him. The second key he gave to her was a car key which could represent a desire to move forward, go into the future, new roads and destinations. This might have scared her- although she was ready to occupy a space in his heart/home, she truly wasn’t ready to move forward yet. He was trying to unlock her love with the keys but, unfortunately, you may possess a hundred keys but if the lock is gone you’ll never be able to open the door. When a person doesn’t love you, it doesn’t matter how great you are or how much you love them. You can’t force someone to love you back if they don’t want to or can’t. I don’t know if the keys were intentional to represent this but hey it fits the story line 🥰

My best interpretation from this music video is that the girl couldn’t let go of her husband. When her husband passed away, she tried to move on when she met him. He did everything he could to please her and make her happy and she accepted every proposal because she thought she would eventually be happy with him. But at the end when he caught her looking back to her husband’s picture and he reacted painfully, she knew it was wrong for her and him. She realized she can’t love him. The place in her heart that her husband holds is bigger than she thought. So in order not to hurt him anymore, she left. Sometimes in life, you believe you will be fine as long as you have someone to be there for you but it’s not as easy as that. You’re fooling your heart by forcing yourself to be happy and pretending you’re okay to be with someone. When someone is broken, they can barely notice how much damage they are causing because they’re already damaged.

Damn the beginning scene really hit thou when she remembered her late husband and was crying in front the stone tablet and looking at the old photos. Thats when she knew she really couldnt let him go even when being pleased by brother Kong's gifts. I know its just an act for the MV but it was still so clean and good!! But this goes to say (In the girl's case) that sometimes you neva move on no matter how much the new partner tries to please you and attempts to win your affection. As it simply holds no weight to what previously still holds more value. In Kong's case, (according to the MV) You can try to heal and fix a broken soul as much as possible yet what you do to try and win still isnt enough in the end.

When i first heard this song, i didn't like it bc i only heard the first few words of the song and not interested. But i gave it another chance to see what all the hype is about. Honestly I like the meaning of this song. I listen to it a lot and when I do, I think of my husband. It remind me of how selfish I am. It’s truly hard to fix a broken person, and sometime it’ll take a life time just to fix them. I’m thankful to my husband, he truly loves me and I know everyday he try, try to prove it to me that there’s real love. It’s sad, we can’t fix ourselves, there are days when I want to leave him. Not because he’s not good enough, but because I’m selfish and because of my past.. But when I look at the effort he puts, when I count the sacrifices he’s willing to do just to prove it to me. This song truly hits me differently than any other hmong artists that I've listened to this year. I have been hyped for this final product for quite some time now and I'm very happy with how it turned out!🥰❤ I would also like to add that just recently, one of these past month I went through a break up with my girlfriend and I didn't know how to react because it was my first relationship so it was very tough on me. We had been dating for almost 3 years but I won't go into too much details about it. I will just say that I did everything I could for her, but in the end she didn't choose to stay with me because she was afraid I wasn't going to be stable enough in the future. Instead, she chose to follow her heart and went after the guy who she loved eventhough she said she saw red flags in him. I truly respect her decision but yet, deep inside I honestly felt broken because she said I didn't have money and that I live too far (2hours)..😔 I tried all I could to try and persuade her to not go but eventually I felt like I had no reason to continue fighting because it wasn't a fight that I was going to win anyways.. she already had her mind set and followed through with her heart. I forced myself to move on and that really impacted my mental and physical health. All the while that this was happening, I knew deep inside that I still had feelings for her and that I still worry and love her. However, now that its been roughly almost 2 months, I'm finally starting to learn the importance of why one should love and take care of themselves first before truly opening their heart to another person. If there is anyone new to a relationship, are used to relationships or is planning to get into one, my advice to you is that make sure u truly love yourself, always look for the positives in a negative, and that you are going to love the other person just as much as you love yourself or even more. Also, make sure you have a strong, loving, and opened mindset before you get into a relationship. Going back to the song, I loved it and I will always have this on repeat! 100%. Mob Siab Channel! We lived across states; him in CA and I’m in NC. Our first 2 years together, an ex-gf’s sister private message me and basically told me to break it off because he was a bum and definitely not worth the trouble. I told her off and blocked her. We didn’t need that type of drama around us. Besides, at that time, my boyfriend (now husband) was already working a full time job for over a year. We’re now 3 years into our marriage with a son and a baby on the way. Been together for a total of 8 years. Definitely worth telling the ex-gf (or her “sister”) to f-off. Don’t regret one bit.
