Happy to see you get back into paper printing. IMO it's the most profitable part of the printing business, at least per piece. Our machines are running close to 10 hours a day and we average about $40-50k each week in paper printing in our digital department alone. Of course there are a lot of finishing pieces you need to compliment the printer. Look forward to seeing some prints coming off the machine.

We are thinking about bringing paper printing in house and are looking at the same machine and maybe the previous model 3070….Currently trying to decide on finishing kit to start with, definitely need a laminator and then we either go straight for the duplo or a separate guillotine and creaser/folder to start with. We will also continue to outsource booklets and look to add this later down the line. Love the content thanks!

When I had my 3080 before, I had very few requests for lamination.

@@ttms yeah we do a lot for healthcare and it has to be laminated so it makes sense for us….also quite a lot of wine lists too.

We're opposites. I send out my signs, banners, labels, but I do most of my paper stuff in house, and booklets, folded or bound is my biggest item. Watching your vids has me considering other products in house like lables/stickers, for example, maybe banners, we shall see.

If there is demand, it could be worth it.

Just wondering if you saw the Kyrocera TASKalfa Pro 55000c and any samples? Did you decide to go back to Konica for the service in your area or did you consider and of the other brands? Currently considering a upgrade and move from KM. Thank you

If you are building your digital print you will need a creaser folder.. Without that you will find you cannot fold stock without cracking the toner..

I don't plan on adding folding for some time. Most of my short run needs are flat.
