Konkan Railway Updates : कोकण रेल्वेवरील ट्रॅकवरील दरड हटवण्याचे काम सुरु, ग्राऊंड रिपोर्ट पाहा
कोकणातील रत्नागिरी आणि सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्ह्यांमध्ये प्रचंड पाऊस पडतोय. विशेषत: रत्नागिरी जिल्ह्याला पावसाचा मोठा फटका बसताना दिसतोय. जोरदार पावसामुळे खेडानजीक दरड कोसळल्याने कोकण रेल्वेची वाहतूक रविवारी ठप्प झाली होती. 13 तासांपासून कोकण रेल्वेचे प्रवासी रेल्वे स्थानकावर अडकून पडले आहेत. दिवाणखवटीजवळ ट्रॅकवरील दरड बाजूला करण्याचे काम सुरू असून रेल्वे सुरु होण्यासाठी अजूनही 2 ते 3 तासांचा कालावधी लागण्याची शक्यता वर्तवण्यात आली आहे. पावसामुळे अजूनही ट्रॅकवर माती आणि चिखलाचे साम्रज्य आहे. जवळपास 100 कामगारांच्या मदतीने ट्रॅकवरील माती हटवण्याचे काम सुरु आहे. खेड रेल्वे स्टेशनवर काही रेल्वे गाड्या थांबवल्या आहेत.

My sympathies to the Entire Kokan Railways, who so ever involved in making the one of the toughest projects and in such terrain. what it is today is nature's fury and no one has the right to complain or criticize the Authorities. My Salute to those who lost their lives ( May their souls rest in Peace ) and the workforce who made the impossible, Possible ! Lessons learned for the People who want to travel by Train thru the Magnificent Kokan Railways, if you feel unsafe to travel during Monsoons, The Ball is in your Court. Don't blame the Kokan Railways and the Authorities. Blame it on the terrain and weather conditions.

I'm amazed at some for trying to find faults with the Team involved in clearing the mess/ debris., by openly criticizing that 100 personal are involved but, only a handful can be seen etc., I'm a retired Mechanical Supervisor in Shipyards overseas and in the Oil and Gas sector. We along with the Safety Team plan, accordingly, the manpower required for such hazardous jobs where the chances of lives involved and send teams in batches. What if, during rescue operation or clearing the debris, a landslide occurs ? Who will you hold responsible , if they get buried under? So, in order to avoid such situations, full force are certainly not involved, but in batches to reduce, Casualties and loss of Lives. And finally, Who has ever been able to tame EARTH, WIND & FIRE ? You can't challenge Nature's Fury.
