Hι great work......what is the score application?is there any konokol learn application?
@bradleyklump10 ай бұрын
Thanks. The notation displayed was from Logic Pro. The Konnokkol syllables were my best guess based upon Trichy Sankaran's highly recommended book, The Art of Konnokkol.

This is used as notation for percussion instruments like Mridangam as an accompaniment to the vocals in a carnatic concert.

I lost the count after 3 cycles.....Are they improvising real time ? Because this is huge head scratcher , even for Meshuggah :)
@bradleyklump9 ай бұрын
The second half is a 'rhythmic composition' by Vidwan Manjunath. The first half has both performers recite pre-conceived rhythmic phrases. This part is a bit less pre-conceived, but still not improvised in the usual sense.

What syllables are the first fast ones? Really ta ka di na ta ka? Because it sounds different but I could be wrong, so I'd really love to know :D but thank you for the video!!

Do the syllables change when there's 4 beats to the bar? I've seen something similar but the notes I'm seeing here don't match the syllables I know of.
