Thank you for your extremely clear descriptions of these Indian rhythms. Your description of 'junction points' has really been the key to coming to terms with them for me. It is a concept which is totally glossed over by others.

Hey Asaf, great video! I have a question if you don't mind. I've been recently trying to record myself playing bass, piano and guitar. I have good technique and knowledge on this instruments, but I find it pretty hard to not rush with the metronome. Do you think that following this series I could get any better with it? Sorry for my english, I am from Argentina. Keep up the good stuff!

I think you could give it a go yes! Try practicing konnakol for 3 weeks or so everyday and see if it improves your rhythmic awareness...

Mr. Asaf, I have serious problems with rhythm. I lost tempo, or the time in the beats. Do you think konnakkol can help learn and correct rhythmic problems?
@AsafSirkis2 жыл бұрын
Yes, Konnakol will absolutely help. But also, any rhythmic practice that involves singing, clapping or dancing will be of great aid. The benefit of konnakol in that regard is that after the initial stage of learning the basics, you can take it way way further.
@wagnerbaldin86512 жыл бұрын
@@AsafSirkis Wow! You really surprised me! I didn't expect such a quick answer. I use to play a bit of my acoustic guitar and was trying to learn some chords on my electric keyboard. But I've realized that I have a lot of rhythm problems singing and playing the songs I like at the same time. I've just got a bong to try to learn some percussion to see if it could help me. So I remembered Konnakkolm, that's when I thought it could help me, than I came to your channel. Thank you a lot!!

@AsafSirkis4 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching. I'd recommend trying Konnakol for a few weeks and see if your rhythmic awareness is improving. Otherwise, any other practice that involves singing, clapping and/or foot-tapping at the same time. Hope that helps.
