Im super curious into how long does it take to animate a 12 episode (Example) anime. Lets say it got annouced recently, how many months or possibly even years to animate it. You need to animate and record each characater's voice at the same time. Rie Takashi said that she havent recorded anything so I doubt that this week she will start recording as well as Studio Drive to animate it. Looking forward to it🔥❤️

I'm not going to lie, While I'm happy to get more Konosuba content. I would have much preferred the Dust spin off being announced for an anime than Megumin's. The reason I say this is because Megumin is a character that has already had a TON of screen time in anime form in the main series. and some of my favorite side characters like ( the master troll and high ranking demon Vanir, the best crimson demon mage and loveable punching bag that is YunYun, the badass that is Dust, Luna and her complexes, and best girl Lean) all of which didn't get much screen time in the mainline anime with the exception of YunYun who already had a movie. However you DO get to see them have their moment to shine in the Dust spin off. Heck, Dust barely appeared in the anime with the exception of a few scenes, and if you haven't read the spinoff your description of the man 's personality and feats would be way off. Especially, when you realize after reading Dust's story of how much of a major impact he had in helping Kazuma and his party succeed in some of the events throughout the mainline series. Fingers crossed we get an announcement soon.

Megumin has the most number of relationship with other characters. This spin-off will also focus on Yunyun, and introduce some new character like Cecily (she will appear in voulme 8 again), Wolback (volume 9). I love Dust as well but getting a series for Dust is so risky at this point.

Honestly all you have to do is give some exposition on who Dust is as a character and the problem's solve, it's not like there's not much to him that it would bog down the show, not initially anyway, that doesn't happen until we find out about his past, which doesn't happen until MUCH later in the spin off. You could EASILY give a generalization of his character within the span of an episode. An there are other anime's that has made the SAME mistake of either not properly introducing a character in the anime at the same point as the source material that have ALREADY done this, so I really don't see a problem with this. I don't see how it's risky though. since as I already stated that putting his backstory in the span of an episode could easily be done, and It's not like his personality is so far removed from what the series is known for that it wouldn't fit the series tone. Heck, both Dust and Kazuma share MANY similarities with each other ( since both are perverted men who have sexually assaulted women, and are also people who can be extremely selfish, but can come though for their companions when it matters). In fact, I agree with you that it's great to get Megumin's spinoff, since I generally always find it great to get more Konosuba content. Especially in anime form.
