What I find interesting is that Serbian people are indeed sarcastic, cynical, used to dark humor, spiteful, etc. Even if some don't like the song, this actually represents them more than they realise or want to admit. And to be quite frank, the other side of our people grew sick of being represented by overly sexual content, infused with objectivism.

Fun fact: lyrics in Latin at the beginning of the song: "Onas eroproc ni sumrifni snem" Are reversed lyrics, if you read them from the back it reads: Mens infirmus in corpore sano Meaning "a sick mind in a healthy body", referring to our psychological health which is equally important as the physical one, and people undermine it.

The song is the anthem of all the people who have been fighting against the pharmaco - eugenics mafia - the corrupt system of global health policy for the past two years. 💙💙💙 The song is a satire on the account of the state health system, but also on the account of the entire social view of health. The most important part of the song is when he says - "I don't have a booklet, and how can they follow me in the name of" health ". This verse describes the state's false concern for the health of the population, and we have been bombarded with this false concern for the past two years. Constant hand washing during the performance is a satirical mockery of the preventive recommendations of health "experts" whom we will forever remember from 2020.

This song is absolutely genius in how many layels lyrics got. They tell a lot of stories, cover lot of isues. Some of them are better to stay in this art piece as they are, without comment. But over all, as I already said beneath some other videos, the most prominent/important message is about the mental presure produced from health guidances in modern world that is totaly ignored. IN CORPORE SANO (in a healthy body) is a song that will represent Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. The music was written by Ana Đurić and Milovan Bošković, and the lyrics by Ana Đurić, who performs under the pseudonym Konstrakta. In corpore sano is an excerpt from the saying - men sana In corpore sano, which means healthy spirit in a healthy body, a verse written by the Roman poet Juvenal, born around the sixties of the new era. And this saying is taken from the verse which reads in its entirety - one should pray for a healthy spirit in a healthy body, ie "orandum est ut sit mens sana in corpore sano". In this original song, at the beginning there is a conditional and at the end the main title - "What are we going to do now?", What are we going to do now if we have a healthy body and a sick spirit, because we are not in healthy but sick times. The essence of Ana Đurić's text is the question - what if we are healthy if our mind is sick? She expresses it in the words - "the body is healthy and what will we do now, a weak mind in a healthy body, a sad soul in a healthy body, a desperate mind in a healthy body, a frightened mind in a healthy body" ... rhythm, Ana actually lets out a howl of despair of a modern man who promotes at all costs a healthy body, physics, matter, supplements, drugs, vaccines and constant hand washing, without anyone caring about the spirit that is sick due to the influence of propaganda, forcing false values for the purpose of general deafening. Humanity is healthy, but the spirit of the times is sick - weak, sad, desperate and scared. I read and listened to many comments that explained why this song won. I also voted for her for several reasons, and here are the main ones. It is important to say that I have been following Eurovision regularly since 1962, for a full 60 years. Although there were several misses, almost all the winning songs of that international competition deserved it with their quality, which was confirmed by the court of time. In the great competition, the song by Ana Đurić and Milovan Bošković was a real refreshment, because it exuded sincerity. The strength of the winning song is that it is not an imitation, but an original whose fuel is a special and unique artistic personality. It affected the audience who recognized it and gave their voice. Comparisons with Marina Abramović and her performances are completely wrong. In these comparisons, perhaps given with the best intentions, the idea of imitation is in fact unfounded. However, the original performance of the Handwashing Contract cannot be questioned by these comments. Washing hands with singing is a great choreographic solution for the title verse of the song - in a healthy body. The song certainly has the features of engaged art, which critically looks at the pandemic of the virus that kept the whole world in prison for two years in the form of satire. Hand washing symbolizes not only something that the health authorities have constantly recommended, but also alludes to hand washing from the responsibility of those who are guilty of this world scam. Although the text is insufficiently understood, and will not be understood by millions of viewers around the world, hand washing will speak for itself more than a thousand words. Unlike others, Konstrakta performed herself, not some imaginary superstar. The song was composed directly from the heart and is performed from the beginning to the end within the limits of the author's power. She does not strive to sing something she cannot, but within the limits of her power she gives the best she can. That must work, because it is true. As a person pressed by the collective fear that was deliberately propagated in the world for two years, Ana exclaimed - it was enough, what I wanted to say and I didn't. I trust her too. I am sure that, regardless of the malicious criticism that can be heard, this artist will win a high place in a major international competition (if held), and more than anyone so far will present Serbia as a country where people think for themselves. Hand washing as a symbol of cleansing from dirt will be well received not only as a kind of marking the end of the pandemic and all controversies, but also an invitation to start washing hands from all diseases of this world, which is not in the corner and which lacks Juvenile - we should pray for a healthy mind in a healthy body. In the end, I would not like to wash my hands out of Konstrakta's performance at Eurovision, and replace it with something else, on the advice of any so-called marketing team, because that would kill the very essence of the message, which will, regardless of hard-to-understand words I am sure that I will convey a clear message coming from Serbia to millions of viewers, which is that, in fact, without a healthy spirit, there is no healthy body. To better understand, turn on subtitles/cc. It is actually pure artistic theater play in four acts packed in just 3 min. covered with a fantastically arranged musical matrix around a hypnotic rhythm, which perfectly follows the story told with a vocal that vibrates as part of the music (take attention for all details). Enough to be a masterpiece, even in the selection of the famous theater festival in Edinburgh. And the story is as follows Intro - EVERYTHING IS UPSIDE DOWN A modified Latin saying: a sick mind in a healthy body was read backwards. Act one - ROUTINE We waste our time following celebrities and other people's lives, and discuss about them, about nonsense through the social networks (what is the secret of healthy hair Megan Markl). It's going even deeper. This became normal behaviours and it is compared with health, healthy behaviour. So, expectation is that artress also must be part of this "normal behaviours" (MUST be healthy). Act two - LONELINESS We are now part of this routines, some system control our fundamental functions (heart ticking and breathing), we are alive, in virtual world and it's OK. But we are alone. No children, no friends, only dog. We are walking satisfied but without sense, with empty mind (counting steps, and that's all). Act three - COGNITION Knjižica in Serbian is not only social security, but it's also symbol of belonging to some system or organisation as a member What if I am not a member? If I'm out of system? We will lost our followers, others will not monitor us anymore (what was normal, healthy), nobody will "care" about us, or organize our life (what was normal, healthy), and artress become invisible when she is out of system. Act four - WAKING UP The absence of system influence artress see like a magic, becouse it means independence, so she CAN be healthy, with open mind, according to Latin saying "men sana in corpore sano" (healthy mind in healthy body). Can be, can be, can be. conclusion - WHAT'S ABOUT MIND? Everything is about body condition (corpore sano, corpore sano, corpus is sano - and body is healthy), but no one talks about the state of mind. So, she mentions those states of mind and ask: And what shell we do? And finally, the messages from the stage and the video. When health is mentioned, hand movements show that something is not normal. We need to be washed constantly, to be clean. Our mind same as our body. Either others will do it or we will do it ourselves. Again and again... So, regardless of the placement, its appearance is a victory for Serbia and the Eurovision Song Contest

You all got stuck with the whole "not having health insurance" thing that u dont see the rest of the msgs that she is sending. And poor woman keeps on repeating that thats not the only, nor the most important point of the song. The other points being the role that an artist has in a society nowadays. General public is obsessing about "what is the secret of Meghan Markles healthy hair", what are famous people doing, using too look so healthy and beautiful. And because of that, an artist is always required to look good and heatly. Apart from that, we are all obsessing about our body health (especially now during Covid) that we neglected our mental health, which is why at the end in latin she says "desperate mind in a healthy body, so the body is healthy and what now?" Please read the translation of the whole lyrics cuz its sad that out of so many msgs that she sends with this song, only one, the least relevant is being delivered. Its not a msg for the government and health care system only, she talks about the society issues as well.

That final, latin, part is probably mesage to medical doctors who forgot to think of peoples mental health. End ''what now'' question is part of that message. I was rooting for Sara until 2 days ago. The song was mysterious, dark and ethnic, and then she performed like a dominatrix and couldn't deliver the song vocally. People just naturally stood behind a better song and a better performance.

Exactly. We were dissapointed with the performance which was overly sexualized, her vocals were shaky, they missed the chance to play with the 9/8 rhythm in the choreo. The overall performance didn't delivere what we expected.

I still think either song would have been good options. I do think Sara would have been a safer bet (even though it's experimental) I think Konstrakta could hit or miss but let's see....seems allot of Serbs (first time in a long time actually) do not care so much about what position this gets....they are just proud this song and message is representing them :-)

imagine reacting via talking in a reaction video??? What a wild concept 🙃 I beg to differ, I feel value was added to my life by being able to live vicariously through your details in going to the final! I did actually listen to all the songs from Serbia, that was a slog. I liked Zorja & Angellina, but with so many other countries having semi's and finals between then & now I hadn't listened to any of them again until after the first semi. I wasn't greatly attached to any of them, I translated the title of this but didn't look any deeper. It was only after she won that I understood the message behind the song and got that it was an artistic presentation and not a lazy or little thought through one. The staging is simple in terms of few props, not elaborate choreo etc etc but is a great example of 'simple and effective'. As for tweaks to the staging to help get the message across, I thought of that after her win too, and thought of Jeangu (all the broccoli comments, even with the lyrics on the screens behind him). (if you haven't figured out the phone yet, go into settings and turn on Do Not Disturb to just stop all notifications while you are filming, easier than turning off alerts from individual apps and then find another one goes berserk too 😂)

You had a press pass, and you also have a hoodie with your KZbin logo on it. 🤩 Why am I only learning about this now? 🤣 To be honest, I am quite the shy person too, so if I was ever lucky to get a press pass for anything I would probably end up sitting in the corner like a lemon 🤣 Oh, don't worry about people saying you talk too much (you don't in any case), I don't think everyone realises that if you don't talk over the videos in these things then you will get flagged for copyright. As for the song, I think I am a little bit obsessed with this, I literally feel like bursting into song and sing-a-long when I hear this. I think this might actually be my new favourite of the year. It perhaps should be noted that the first time I heard these songs was Semi-Final 1, so I don't think I had a chance to get caught up in the hype for the other fan favourites. It is very arty and I love that the lyrics (which seem humourous initially) have a deeper meaning, I think that what helps this over other arty songs is that this doesn't feel pompous (if that makes sense). Sometimes when songs are too arty they can alienate people with the staging, but I don't feel that is the case here. I soooooo hope this does well in May, but I am just happy it has made it to Eurovision in the first place because I never thought it would happen. Anyhoo, I have definitely talked too much 🤣. Hope you have/had a safe trip back to Milan. Which national final is next on your agenda to visit as press? 😁

The music for Sara Jo was interesting, but the lyrics were awful! I was disgusted, embarrassed that that awful backward song would represent us. I thought it would be fixed for her (cynical as we are, we KNOW that RTS always fixes the wins), so seeing this deep, meaningful song win fills my heart with hope for people here. The Latin part, in the end, is so important, screenshots of its translation went viral yesterday. And this chorus went viral on our tick tock... I am so excited, we don't need to win in ESC, this is for us, a protest song for art and our minds!

Yes, how come the voting looked legit this year? I love beovision but I gave up watching because the results kill my blood pressure every time 😂
@TheLuthkica2 жыл бұрын
@@marietg8025 My only explanation is that it's cause this was not Beovision. There were some... scandals around the person who "owns" Beovision (connected with the "guy with a piano" and who wanted THAT person to be "chosen"... very complicated, very shady), so I think judges and RTS had more freedom to chose whom they liked better. My theory is that Konstrakta won because she had a message and was very different than anyone else, and by choosing her RTS said - it is our show now!

Shane, great review about whole event. Hope you enjoyed your staying. Konstrakta absolutely deserved this win, and the fact that it was so decisive, is unbelievable. So, now after everything is settled, i want to point some things. Obviously, Konstrakta is the biggest winner of the competition, comming as a completely underdog. But beside that, this could hugely shape our PZE in the years to come, from the point of view that nothing comes for granted, and that competitors have to come really prepared for it. And i agree with you about that 36 songs is just too much. I would cut it to two semis with 10 songs, 20 in total. Quality over quantity. Biggest loser, definitely, is Sara. She teamed up with Cobi, hes a great, talented producer and singer, but his music is strictly commercial, clubbing etc. Unfortunately, this song sounded just like something he would typically produce. As of Sara, since she was born in Italy, i felt that is her main argument for the win. She just underlined that too much. With the weak performance in the semis, it just wasn't enough. Angelina, good studio version. Everyone waited for her live performance in the semis, which was mediocre, and it was clear she's not going to finish at the top. Not the result she wanted, but she now have a nice summer song. And Zorja, i just hope she will take this as a positive result. Her song was great, and she could be a hot prospect in the years to come.

I had the best time. Thank you Pablo. I am with you! Konstrakta was a well deserved winner. As you said her win shakes up massively at PZE. Both in regards to more confidence for independent acts to enter and moreover more confidence from the broadcaster to shortlist them. Yes 36 is allot...too much...but someone else made a good point...this way with Konstrakta's win...more independent acts will have a chance to showcase their work...and the broadcaster can allow this with so many places...but yeah 36 is ALLOT haha. Hahaha one thing I got from Serbia is knowing who Cobi is...I did not know haha :-)

PESMA PODJEBAVA SISTEM. Takve pesme i pobedjuju. Kao sto kaze “UMETNICA MORA BITI ZDRAVA” protiv bolesnog sistema. 😅

Translation: What could be the secret of Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? What could it be? What could be the secret of Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? What could it be? What could it be? I think it’s all about the deep hydration They say our skin and hair show it all For example - Deep undereye circles could signal liver troubles The pesky spots around the lips point to an enlarged spleen enlarged spleen That’s not a good spleen, not a very pretty spleen And the artist must be healthy: To be healthy To be healthy To be healthy To be, to be, to be To be healthy To be healthy To be healthy must be, must be, must be How lucky, the existence of the autonomic nervous system No need to control the heart beats The heart beats The heart beats, alone A summer’s day, the colours bright, the skirts of mine On my body My dog and I We walk Just the two of us, counting steps The skirt steps around my leg We are walking And that is all! The part in Latin: A sick mind in a healthy body A sad soul in a healthy body A desperate mind in a healthy body A frightened mind in a healthy body Explanation: Artists not having health cards in Serbia is the meaning that is on surface. A bit deeper is about the focus being on physical health in the past few years. While mental health is neglected.

*This performance is art at it's purest. Although the lyrics may seem a bit silly at first, they are actually dead serious. There are so many layers to the song, and a lot of space for different interpretations. Konatrakta herself emphasized the importance of every listener's own interpretation. 1. The song opens with a headline from a beauty magazine that Konstrakta once saw: What is the secret to Meghan Markle's healthy hair? - This is a reference to modern society's obsession with beauty; That's what beauty magazines do - they create insecurities about your hair, skin, nails, weight etc. and then advertise products that promise to change that. That's what the second line of the song is about "I think that the secret is in deep hydration" 2.Then Konstrakta goes on talking about how our skin and hair often signal some inner health issues - for example liver and spleen problems - The reason she is thinking this is beacause she's worrying about her own health, she can't visit a doctor for a check up or get treatment because she doesn't have insurance. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT because artists in Serbia still don't have health insurance. This is a paradox because Serbia, just like so many other countries has "universal healthcare" which in reality is not available to everyone. 3. She then goes on saying how and artist must be healthy - a reference to Marina Abramovic (Art is beautiful, Artist must be beautiful), and the reason she needs to be healthty is again - because she can't afford to get treatment. 4. Then comes the part about the autonomic nervous system and how we don't need to control our own heartbeats. She describes a beautiful summer day, she is waking her dog, her heart is beating and that's it - it doesn't need to get any better. She just puts her trust in her heart and lungs hoping they won't fail her (if they do fail her then that's it, the doctors won't help her and she made peace with that) 5. She then explicitly states I DON'T HAVE THE CARD (meaning health insurance card) 6. She wonders how will they help her then? While she's wondering that we can hear the backing vocals repeat the phrase Boze zdravlja - God grant us health. This is a reference to serbian culture where health is regarded as the most important part of life. God grant us health is a common saying, we use it all the time, and you will always hear people wishing other people good health (for their birthday, or really any holiday) because everything else (money, fame, love...) becomes meaningless if you are ill and in pain. This is again a paradox - in a society that nominally regards health as sacred she still doesn't have health insurance. She says - The (female) artist is invisible, you can't see me, it's magic. 7. The final part is probably the most important one. It's basically a play on the old latin saying Mens sana in corpore sano (A healthy mind in a healthy body), exept that Konstrakta makes it clear that only the body is healthy - the soul inside is desperate which is a commentary on our own reality, we are all obsessed with improving our health - we try to eat better, be more active, take all those expensive drugs and supplements - but what about our mind? More often than not it is our mind that needs care, not the body. And finally after making that clear she asks us - So what do we do now? Now about the handwashing: She is dressed in white, she symbolizes the health care system (she reminds us of a nurse for example) and she is washing her hands. Why? Because of covid? NO! It is a metaphor about how health care workers need to "wash their hands" meaning clear their conscience when they refuse to treat you because you don't have insurance. Just like when Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the crucifixon of Jesus - he tried to clear his conscience and make it clear that he wasn't the one who killed Jesus - it was the Law. In the same way, a doctor refuses to treat you because of the law, and he needs to make peace with the fact that you may die even though he/her could (and would) help you. The handwashing could also be seen as a reference to Marina Abramovic's performance Balkan Baroque in which she spent days trying to wash the blood and flesh off of cow bones - she failed of course and that was the point - no matter how hard you try they will still be bloody bones (in this context the blood on the bones symbolized the shame of the Yugoslav wars, and in Konatrakta's performance the health care system is trying to wash away it's responsibility for people literally dying because of some bullshit paperwork and administration - but it is of course doomed to fail because the shame and blood cannot be washed away). I hope this comment helped make things a bit more clear! *Comment reference from another post, YT user: M8337

There are many messages here. 1. The beauty is not everything, mental health and soul are important too. 2. Artists in Serbia and world are often invisible, they have not helth insurance, but they have to be healthy. 3. Because of this, we have one solution: to pray to God for health (renesanse priests around her) and there is comparation between religion and science... Layered song with strong messages in this pure artistic performance. Avant-garde! ❤️ Turn on translate! ❤️

First of all, talk as much as you want, that is probably the thing I find the most interesting about you. Second, I love In corpore sano, even from the day when they released all of the songs, In corpore sano was the only one I actually wanted to listen to again. Sure, at first I was also "wtf" like most people, but the song is catchy, and has a really deep meaning. Third, for the meaning of the song.... I don't think it is about health care system at all... I think that in the first part, she is cleverly critiquing "instagram culture", where you have to look good, eat healthy, exercise, where physical appearance is everything, which makes you a slave to a consumerism religion, which is slowly pulling us into mass hypochondria. The second part of the song is trying to imply that we should find happiness in simple things, like nice summer day, taking your dog for a walk, just enjoying life as it is, because it doesn't have to get better than that. Your body has it's own mechanisms to keep itself healthy, and alive. The first chorus indicates that "the artist has to be healthy", and the second one says that "the artist can be healthy", she switched from imperative to potential. I believe that the real message is that you don't have to anything, accept life as it is, and enjoy it. As for "I don't have health insurance" part, I don't think it's there because she can't get it, I think it's there because she chose not to have it. Anyone can have free health insurance here. It probably has to do with people being invisible to institutions if they are not part of the system. And for the Latin part, it's pretty self-explanatory. We managed to get healthy bodies, but our minds are a mess, and what are we going to do about that? This is probably the most important message of this song. As for the performance, it's brilliant in it's own way. It's homage to Marina Abramović's "Art has to be pretty, the artist has to be pretty", and I think it goes well with the message of the song. When your mind is not well, there is no amount of soap that will make you feel clean. I don't really care how well this song will do at ESC, but I have to say I'm really proud that we are sending this gem. Anyways, I'm really glad you had fun in Serbia, hopefully you will visit us again! Try coming over during summer, winters are depressing XD.

via Drasko Jovic This is pure art and tatal avantgarde. Lyrics may seem a bit silly at first, they are actually dead serious. There are so many layers to the song and a lot of space for different interpretations: The name of the song "In corpore sano" is in Latin and means "In a healthy body". It’s referring to the Latin saying "Mens sana in corpore sano" meaning "A healthy mind in a healthy body". - First: What is the secret to Meghan Markle's healthy hair? This is a reference to modern society's obsession with beauty! That's what beauty magazines do/they create insecurities about your hair, skin, weight, etc., and then advertise products that promise to change that. That's what the second line of the song is about "I think that the secret is in deep hydration" - Second: Konstrakta talks about how our skin and hair often signal some health issues, for example, liver and spleen problems. The reason she is thinking this is because she's worried about her own health, she can't visit a doctor for a check-up or get treatment because she doesn't have insurance, this is so important because independent artists in Serbia don't have health insurance. - Third: Then we hear her saying how an artist must be healthy, a reference to Marina Abramovic’s (internationally known Serbian performance artist) performances called “Art must be pretty, an artist must be pretty” where she sits for hours combing her hair while repeating that cause she realized people focused a lot on her looks and her hair being messy and prioritized that over her art, and the reason she needs to be healthy is that she can't afford to get treatment. - Fourth: the "Autonomic nervous system" part talks about how we don't need to control our own heartbeats. She describes how she walks her dog, on a beautiful summer day, her heart beats on its own, it doesn't need to get any better. She just puts her trust in her heart hoping it won't fail her (if it does fail her then that's it, the doctors won't help her and she made peace with that), and that's why she prays to God, "God give us health". - Fifth: She then says "I DON'T HAVE THE HEALTH INSURANCE!" (Even with "free" health insurance we are still paying a lot for medications, fees, etc. We are always paying insurance through salaries, for both employed and unemployed, and if you don't have "free" health insurance, you are paying way more, which is a situation with independent artists in Serbia.) - Sixth: Phrase "Boze zdravlja"/"God grant us health". This is a common saying, we use it all the time, and you will always hear people wishing other people good health (for their birthday, or really any holiday) because everything else (money, fame, love...) becomes meaningless if you are ill and in pain. She then says, the artist (she) is invisible, you can't see me, it's magic because she is invisible to health care, they won't treat her! - Seventh: Now, last part, it's basically the old Latin saying: Mens sana in corpore sano (A healthy mind in a healthy body), except that Konstrakta makes it clear that only the body is healthy, the soul inside is desperate, we are all obsessed with improving our health, we try to eat better, be more active, take all those expensive drugs and supplements, but what about our mind? Mens infirma in corpore sano - Weak mind in a healthy body Animus tristis in corpore sano - A sad soul in a healthy body Mens desperata in corpore sano - Desperate mind in a healthy body Mens conterrita in corpore sano - A frightened mind in a healthy body The endless chanting of the mantra about a healthy body is destroyed by enumerating the weaknesses of the mind and soul from which no health can be born. The final verse of the song "and what are we going to do now" is a jargon of common sense cold shower which was poured over the mass media propaganda about a healthy body without a healthy mind and soul, after making that clear she asks us - So what do we do now? Now about the handwashing: 1) She is dressed in white, she symbolizes the health care system (she reminds us of a nurse for example) and she is washing her hands. Why? Because of covid? NO! It is a metaphor about how health care workers need to "wash their hands off" meaning clear their conscience when they refuse to treat you because you don't have insurance. Just like when Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the crucifixion of Jesus - he tried to clear his conscience and make it clear that he wasn't the one who killed Jesus - it was the Law. In the same way, many people in the government or in positions are washing their hands off and can't help you because of the Law. 2) People standing behind her can be priests that pray for her health and/or are getting ready for her to die.

Contrary to witty, it is actually a very serious work of art that calls for deeper reflection. It doesn't matter how you fare in the competition. The Internet is already glowing, and that is the purpose of art. You need to listen a few times from the beginning and your eyes slowly open. A refrain is a kind of mantra that we need to listen to every day to make our mental health better. Sound is the cure and therapy for this gloomy society of today!
@tijanaa.81522 жыл бұрын
I think it is important to know that this song is not just about health insurance and has sooo many layers! In the first sentence, when she asks about the secret of Meghan Markles great hair, she sends a FIRST massage about how much humanity is focused on nonsense things! Then, when she says "the artist has to be healthy" and further throughout the song, she points out what is EXPECTED from artists - to always be healthy, look great, and how generally so much pressure is on them to always look their best while we don't emphasize what actually is important, and that is what they bring and how they feel! She says that beating heart and who you are as an artist, and the trust you give to your fans are enough. That is the SECOND point of this song. The THIRD one and a bit controversial one is about the isolation we all have experienced these two years with Covid19 when the artists' jobs were stopped and they were invisible in the name of health. The FOURTH one was that our mental health had suffered while we were trying to fight for our physical one! And in general, globally we are so focused on leaving healthy lives, eating healthy, working out, and looking vibrant...while we don't pay enough attention to the mind and emotions - our mental health. I can only hope that Europe will understand how important this message is, and I am so glad the people of Serbia have realized it.

The song is about position of artists in Serbia. They don’t have health insurance because they usually aren’t registered workers as the top of Serbia don’t really take care about real artists. Like every other living beings artists have to be healthy (here physically) to live and work. So they rely on religion and pray for health because they can’t pay the expensive doctor treatments. It is sad because people here usually choose to do art as a hobby or something next to their “real” job. And here when you say you want to be an artist (without art academy diploma) people ask you and what else are you going to be doing, you know for bills, rent… She is singing also about how we are presented a lot of trends which we follow like buy hundreds of face creams, hair products… and washing our hands as one of the precautions that everyone can do even without money, and like almost the only thing. She thanks the nervous system for working on its own so we don’t need to worry about that atleast, when it is working. With this song I can say she became a protector of artist here in Serbia, showed potential of this country and took a move forward!

I personally think that including a translation in the performance itself would take away from the guttural response to the visuals. It's captivating enough that ppl would want to go off and google the lyrics/meaning on their own, increasing engagement. That's literally what's been happening in the ESC community. It's so thought provoking that almost every reactor has been like "I must know what she's saying." Anyway, my point is that leaving room for people to project their own interpretation is way better than over explaining everything, which is antithetical to art, really. Just my 2 cents 🙂
@ShanesEurovisionReview2 жыл бұрын
One of the most astute 2 cents in these comments...had not thought of it like this! I think as reactors we have a vested interest in the show and as a result keener need to understand each entry in its totality....not sure this will be the case for the average viewer of Eurovision. However, your point stands and to be fair your right.....

@@ShanesEurovisionReview You're right, most casual viewers won't make the effort, unless they really love it off the bat. But I'm just imagining how a translation would play out...and I can't help but think that having lyrics like "an enlarged spleen is not pretty" (lol) would only detract from the performance. I feel like the "mystery" of its weirdness is more likely to work in its favour. The message is there for ppl that want to take the time to discover it. Also, translations never do songs justice. The poetry is lost. But performance-wise, the seriousness and the humour and irony: it's all right there on her face. I hope she trusts that. Thanks for the response! X

People seem to forget that Sara's song also raised eyebrows when people heard it for the first time because it's different but it grew on people because they were listening to it constantly. I really hope that Europe sees Konstrakta's song for what it is and give it some thought because we are so proud to have her represent us!! UMETNICA MORA BITI ZDRAVA 🇷🇸❤

Konstrakta says : "I don't have health ensurance" was emerged like lot of people are most recognized. On the other side some people connect that with Covid and the whole situation even that wasnt my basic meaning. Probably there is satiation with all about Covid and presure to be healthy. For now I see that these two things is most stand out. There is so much more themes .Also there's no intention, its simple some process of thoughts on this topic and start with that chaos in media and that infosphere about health that point out on "Hair of Meghan Markle" which is mentioned like something that is really important and passing by atmosfere that "Artist" and all of us must be healthy, thats presure and like that is something most wanted and top value in life and a bunch of trends that is in that field and also that question, do I have a support of system ? Do I have health ensurance ?And option that you can be healthy if you make a distance of all that pressure to spending endless examination and supplements etc. On the other hand there is frase on Latin with two sides. At first, there is a body that is a base of consummation and second psychologically healing "I sta cemo sad (So now what)" ? Mens infirma in corpore sano(A sick mind in a healthy body) Animus tristis in corpore sano(A sad soul in a healthy body) Mens desperata in corpore sano(A desperate mind in a healthy body) Mens conterrita in corpore sano(A terrified mind in a healthy body) In this moment I see that like a new area of consumption. Stratification all state of psychology and finding cure for all psychology condition which is background of consummation.

English translation of the song In Corpore sano by Konstrakta Onas eroproc ni somrefne snem* What is the secret behind Meghan Markle's healthy hair? What could be the secret? What is the secret behind Meghan Markle's healthy hair? What could it be? What could be the secret? I think that secret is the deep hydration As they say, one's skin and hair reveal everything clearly For example: dark circles around eyes point out to liver issues Dark spots around lips might mean you have an enlarged spleen An enlarged spleen is not good, not pretty Because an artist - she has to be healthy She has to be healthy, be healthy, Be healthy, be be be be healthy Be healthy, be healthy Be healthy, she has to, has to, has to It's such fortune that the autonomic nervous system exists So I don't have to control my heartbeats because the heart beats, it beats on its own Nice days, bright colors of the skirt on my body of my skirt, my dog and I We are taking a walk, counting our steps the skirt goes around my leg We are taking a walk, counting our steps the skirt goes around my leg we are taking a walk and that's it And it doesn't have to be better than that, the heart beats on its own I put my trust in it, that it beats on its own I put my trust in it, that it beats, that I breathe God give me health, God give health, God give health God give health I don't have the health insurance Oh, so how will they monitor me? In the name of health And care about me? In the name of health An artist (she) is invisible. In the name of health. You don't see me, it's magic. In the name of health An artist, she can be healthy She can be healthy, be healthy, Be healthy, be be be be healthy Be healthy, be healthy Be healthy, she has to, has to, has to In a healthy body, in a healthy body In a healthy body, in a healthy body In a healthy body, in a healthy body the body is healthy, so what do we do now? A sick mind in a healthy body A sad soul in a healthy body A desperate mind in a healthy body A frightened mind in a healthy body So what do we do now? Hope you like it! Greetings from Serbia! 🇷🇸

I agree it't tricky to get Europe to understand the song, but it can be done with very smart (and little aggressive, why not?) marketing. It's absolutely priority to accurately translate the song to as many languages as possible, to stick the translations to the video (singing in Serbian with subtitles) and share. People need to know what it is about before the ESC! As I can see, almost everyone who see it for the first time thinks it's about hand washing and sth with corona, and we don't want that kind of preconception before she even gets the chance to present herself on the big stage.
