Yes, you want to listen and watch it again and again, because it keeps giving and you keep noticing something new :)) and getting in that rhythm. And this to enter as a strange body straight in the Eurovision contest :))) like a virus :))) She is so fresh, and in tune with the moment: everybody is asking the same question these days, as there is a war in Europe: "a šta ćemo sad?" I am feeling gratefull for this song, and that people here got so hooked on it like it is the only song that exist :) And it is an true art piece. People are hungry for art, actually, even we are bombarded with images, tunes, lyrics, messages, callings, even if don't know that we are hungry, and don't even know what art is. So, I am delighted and curious what comes next, as the bird is out there. :))

quite good for first time listening and without knowing the lyrics at all. In corpore sano (part of Latin phrase In healthy body healthy mind) is multi-layered song with deep messages. Society tend to be brainwashed by health, healthy body, celebrities and their healthy hair, superficial beauty and health... in same time mind is loosing importance. then you have healthy body (corpore sano) with problems inside. there are other messages and i am sure people will post them here. Song came out of nowhere so to say. we had clear favorites for victory before proper song contest. however this woman set up fire and blown them all away by winning jury and televotes. televotes by historical margin. Her entire performance is so to say theater like. careful details on her acting, face expressions, hand gestures, staging, backvocals/artists. if you have time and will, after reading explanation listen the song again. it will grow on you i am sure. best regards and thanks

Mens sana in corpore sano (A sound mind in a sound body). The point artist is trying to make is that news media write and talk about health, supplements, diet, beauty, exercising... Meghan Markle was mentioned because in media there was an article about most important issue for the survival of life on our planet, her hair. According to media, woman has to be beautiful, artist has to be beautiful and healthy otherwise can not succeed. And artist asks: What about "Mens sana" part? Media do not care about state of mind, peoples spirit, mental health. To the contrary. Fake news, all sorts of lies (Serbians are especially sensitive because they were and still are victims of media warfare for over three decades) are there to make us total idiots, ignorant about what really is happening around us, spreading belief that nuclear war can be won or that Putin is going to back down if enough pressure he is under, unaware of how close we are of destroying our home, Earth. Read lyrics carefully several times, and pay attention to lyrics at the end: "A sick mind in a healthy body A sad soul in a healthy body A desperate mind in a healthy body A terrified mind in a healthy body" Celebrities appear beautiful, healthy and they are successful. Than, unexpectedly, they commit a suicide. Whitney Houston, Robin Williams, Anthony Bourdain... Whole stage is a metaphor. She represents health system which washes hands (denies responsibility). Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person (Jesus). He was washing his hands of the responsibility. Whole stage is a metaphor. "Metallic voices" and robotic movements with hands represent estrangement - dehumanization. During performance there's no emotion on her face. She is like robot. She walks her dog. That is another sign of estrangement, proof that our civilization is on verge of extinction. It is sad that dog became man's "best friend". I remember times (I am 67) when my best friends walked on two legs (and without leash - covid pass or passport). Music is, also, descriptive. After "I do not have health insurance" there is GP and rhythm (heart beat) stops (heart sinks "into her feet") there is a "cuckoo" musical effect symbolising psychotic episode - travel to "parallel - alternative world", something like "alternative truth" as Donald Trump said. This is the moment when she realizes: "How will they be able to keep track of me"? Chorus sings: "In the name of health". Brilliant. At the end there is sequence of semi-tone steps upward in music called "tonal jump" used to elevate tension towards climax: "So, now what"? Which I understood as "We are all nuts". Very well done. Do not take everything literary.

Here's the translation: What could be the secret of Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? What could it be? What could be the secret of Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? What could it be? What could it be? I think it’s all about the deep hydration They say our skin and hair show it all For example - Deep undereye circles could signal liver troubles The pesky spots around the lips point to an enlarged spleen enlarged spleen That’s not a good spleen, not a very pretty spleen And the artist must be healthy: To be healthy To be healthy To be healthy To be, to be, to be To be healthy To be healthy To be healthy must be, must be, must be How lucky, the existence of the autonomic nervous system No need to control the heart beats The heart beats The heart beats, alone A summer’s day, the colours bright, the skirts of mine On my body My dog and I We walk Just the two of us, counting steps The skirt steps around my leg We are walking And that is all! And it does not have to get better! the heart beats by itself! I surrender my trust, let it beat by itself! I surrender my trust, let it beat! let me breathe! God grant us health, grant us health, grant us health! God grant us health, since there’s no Medical insurance for me Now how will they follow me? All in the name of health How will they care for me? All in the name of health The artist is invisible All in the name of health You can’t see me, it’s magical All in the name of health The artist could be healthy: Be healthy Be healthy Be healthy be, be, be Be healthy, Be healthy, Be healthy, could be, could be, could be In corpore sano, in corpore sano In corpore sano, in corpore sano In corpore sano, in corpore sano Corpus is sanum, and what now?! Key to understanding this song is symbolism. Meghan Markle's hair symbolizes public beauty/celebrity obsession. Liver and spleen - again, mentioned in the context of appereance (!), do you need more? She puts her trust in autonomous nervous system, why? Because there's little else to put the trust in. Creepy, but true. And the last few verses are a powerful condemnation of overall social superficiality. The whole song/performance is a reflection of modern world. It is weird and creepy just as much as the whole world is. This woman is giving us an opportunity to think. But we may choose naked butts and vocal exhibitionism instead. Serbia has made its choice and I'm proud of it.

There is famous Latin maxima, basically holistic definition of health saying: "Mens sana in corpore sano" The message of the song is that we failed in that regard! Health care system/ industry dictate (culminating in last 2 years) perceiving people like robots (fragmented in separate parts : spleen, nervous system, skin, hair) and treating people in the same way, especially during pandemics, left us with "sick depressed soul in healthy body" What now!?
@sinisapavlovic94722 жыл бұрын
The most important part of the message of this song is the Latin part near the end. It is the culmination, which was brought about in a conceptually extraordinarily designed, even tactically designed way. The extent to which the "hook" of superficiality has been implemented is best shown by the fact that everyone from the West has taken to mentioning Megan Markel ... There is also one specificity of the Serbian language. She first asks: What is the secret of healthy hair MM ?, but the same sentence slightly modified that follows (Koja li je tajna?) is like a re-examination: What is the secret that cannot be translated, because it is linguistic finesse. Simple hand movements at the level of the deaf-mute's language, she fit perfectly into the whole performance. This whole impression is very close to the aesthetics of Talking Heads from the Remain in Light period. That aesthetic is drastically above the usual level of Eurosong competition. That fact, paradoxically, drastically reduces her chances of winning. My assessment is that the song has little chance of a final victory in Turin, but that it pushed the boundaries - it did!

It's not my coment, but it's certainly the best explanation. By the way, this song doesn't deserve this competition, like eurosong. This is pure art and total avantgarde. Lyrics may seem a bit silly at first, they are actually dead serious. There are so many layers to the song and a lot of space for different interpretations: The name of the song "In corpore sano" is in Latin and means "In a healthy body". It’s referring to the Latin saying "Mens sana in corpore sano" meaning "A healthy mind in a healthy body". - First: What is the secret to Meghan Markle's healthy hair? This is a reference to modern society's obsession with beauty! That's what beauty magazines do/they create insecurities about your hair, skin, weight, etc., and then advertise products that promise to change that. That's what the second line of the song is about "I think that the secret is in deep hydration" - Second: Konstrakta talks about how our skin and hair often signal some health issues, for example, liver and spleen problems. The reason she is thinking this is because she's worried about her own health, she can't visit a doctor for a check-up or get treatment because she doesn't have insurance, this is so important because independent artists in Serbia don't have health insurance. - Third: Then we hear her saying how an artist must be healthy, a reference to Marina Abramovic’s (internationally known Serbian performance artist) performances called “Art must be pretty, an artist must be pretty” where she sits for hours combing her hair while repeating that cause she realized people focused a lot on her looks and her hair being messy and prioritized that over her art, and the reason she needs to be healthy is that she can't afford to get treatment. - Fourth: the "Autonomic nervous system" part talks about how we don't need to control our own heartbeats. She describes how she walks her dog, on a beautiful summer day, her heart beats on its own, it doesn't need to get any better. She just puts her trust in her heart hoping it won't fail her (if it does fail her then that's it, the doctors won't help her and she made peace with that), and that's why she prays to God, "God give us health". - Fifth: She then says "I DON'T HAVE THE HEALTH INSURANCE!" (Even with "free" health insurance we are still paying a lot for medications, fees, etc. We are always paying insurance through salaries, for both employed and unemployed, and if you don't have "free" health insurance, you are paying way more, which is a situation with independent artists in Serbia.) - Sixth: Phrase "Boze zdravlja"/"God grant us health". This is a common saying, we use it all the time, and you will always hear people wishing other people good health (for their birthday, or really any holiday) because everything else (money, fame, love...) becomes meaningless if you are ill and in pain. She then says, the artist (she) is invisible, you can't see me, it's magic because she is invisible to health care, they won't treat her! - Seventh: Now, last part, it's basically the old Latin saying: Mens sana in corpore sano (A healthy mind in a healthy body), except that Konstrakta makes it clear that only the body is healthy, the soul inside is desperate, we are all obsessed with improving our health, we try to eat better, be more active, take all those expensive drugs and supplements, but what about our mind? Mens infirma in corpore sano - Weak mind in a healthy body Animus tristis in corpore sano - A sad soul in a healthy body Mens desperata in corpore sano - Desperate mind in a healthy body Mens conterrita in corpore sano - A frightened mind in a healthy body The endless chanting of the mantra about a healthy body is destroyed by enumerating the weaknesses of the mind and soul from which no health can be born. The final verse of the song "and what are we going to do now" is a jargon of common sense cold shower which was poured over the mass media propaganda about a healthy body without a healthy mind and soul, after making that clear she asks us - So what do we do now? Now about the handwashing: 1) She is dressed in white, she symbolizes the health care system (she reminds us of a nurse for example) and she is washing her hands. Why? Because of covid? NO! It is a metaphor about how health care workers need to "wash their hands off" meaning clear their conscience when they refuse to treat you because you don't have insurance. Just like when Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the crucifixion of Jesus - he tried to clear his conscience and make it clear that he wasn't the one who killed Jesus - it was the Law. In the same way, many people in the government or in positions are washing their hands off and can't help you because of the Law. 2) People standing behind her can be priests that pray for her health and/or are getting ready for her to die.

The meaning of the song is very deep: There are several messages: 1. In the time of COVID everybody is brainwashed that they have to do this, that,to stay physically healthy…. And what about mental health after all that? 2. She wears a medical uniform and washes her hands: this is how she describes medical person when someone without a health card comes for treatment ( they wash their hands of that person, it doesn’t exist) 3. People who do not have free health care , and they do not have money , can die freely without a guilty conscience 4. The people around her in back looks to me like rippers, just waiting for those who can’t afford treatment 5. The general opinion that one must be beautiful, and in order to be beautiful one must be physically healthy. No once cares about mental health anymore, which is also important 6. She is also like a fortune teller looking at her hands trying to figure out why she is sick and what symptoms does she have cuz she can’t afford health care insurance 7. Artists in Serbia don’t have Heath care insurance and her friend died of cancer because of that 8. Obsession with a healthy body

The very first verse/intro of the song goes: "Onas eroproc ni somrefne snem" which is a reverse Latin for: "Mens enfermos in corpore sano" /Sick mind in a healthy body. Why is it reverse? Because we did not get our priorities straight, hence things are upside-down. So the message is there from the start, this song is serious from the start, with minimalistic approach to the lyrics as well, where each word has a very precise meaning. Also, each detail of the stage performance is deliberate, precise and justified. The repetitive handwashing and lines "Umetnica mora biti zdrava" /Тhe female artist must be healthy/ is a direct reference to the performance of conceptual and performance artist Marina Abramovic from 1975-76 ("The Art(ist) Must Be Beautiful"), where Marina combed her hair throughout the entire perfromance and recited "The art must be beautiful", "The artist must be beautiful". The song starts with the artist's question: "Koja li je tajna zdrave kose Megan Markl?" (What is the secret behind Meghan Markle's healthy hair?) introducing straight on the contemporary obsession with celebs and bodily health, imposed from magazines and comercials. For this healthy hair the artist somewhat sarcastically gives credits to the proverbial "deep hydratation" (What the f does "deep hydratation", a phrase we so often find in beauty magazines, even mean, do you ever wonder?! Our body is mostly water anyways...). Then she moves on to the symptoms of illnesses (dark circles around the eyes, dark blemishes around the lips...), portraying here a modern phenomenon of googling your own symptoms - there is an army of layman doctors nowadays (Take note that on the stage she represents herself, a female artist, but also she is in the well known white uniform - she is her own doctor at the same time!) - and concluding with irony "enlarged spleen is not pretty", underlining once more a superficial nature of the modern concern for bodily health. The song chorus is a repetition of "The female artist must be healthy" provided in a simple, yet catchy beat (Biti zdrava, biti, biti, biti zdrava). Next passage is seemingly in a different tone - she is grateful that her heart beats on its own, content with it being so, and have an almost idylic day walking her dog except - well, she counts steps. This detail reveals another modern obsession (at least in Serbia) - walks aren't just walks anymore, they are also meticulous step counting, with pedometers and alike - all in the name of health! Putting her trust in her own heartbeat, she ends with "Bože zdravlja", a saying in Serbian which was clumsily translated as "God give me health!". Precisely "Bože, daj mi zdravlja!" = "God give me health", while "Bože zdravlja" is a saying in Serbian used in many occasions, mostly by elderly people. For example: "Are you going to come to visit us in Belgrade next autumn?" could be answered with "Bože zdravlja, we will" (Meaning: If all is well, if we are healthy and capable, we will come). And then - a sudden twist: "Nemam knjižicu" /I do not have health insurance/ reveals the reasoning and justification behind previous verses. It also brings to the audience an issue of independant artists in Serbia and their health insurance problems. The artist further asks "how will they (meaning the healthcare system) be able to monitor me, to take care of me?" with repetitive irony "all in the name of health", and she concludes with rather intense statement "The female artist is invisible, you do not see me, it is like magic." Personally, I read this invisibility line with meaning wider than invisibility to the healthcare system only. I think that artists are invisible to the system overall, thus this artistic song making it to the Eurovision festival of kitschy and easy, no-brainer notes makes me laugh and proud at the same time. The ending provides the song highlight in Latin, building up the musical climax simultaneously: Mens infirma in corpore sano Animus tristis in corpore sano Mens desperata in corpore sano Mens conterrita in corpore sano scoring with a question to the audience: AND WHAT DO WE DO NOW?

To better understand, turn on subtitles/cc. It is actually pure artistic theater play in four acts packed in just 3 min. covered with a fantastically arranged musical matrix around a hypnotic rhythm, which perfectly follows the story told with a vocal that vibrates as part of the music (take attention for all details). Enough to be a masterpiece, even in the selection of the famous theater festival in Edinburgh. And the story is as follows Intro - EVERYTHING IS UPSIDE DOWN A modified Latin saying: a sick mind in a healthy body was read backwards. Act one - ROUTINE We waste our time following celebrities and other people's lives, and discuss about them, about nonsense through the social networks (what is the secret of healthy hair Megan Markl). It's going even deeper. This became normal behaviours and it is compared with health, healthy behaviour. So, expectation is that artress also must be part of this "normal behaviours" (MUST be healthy). Act two - LONELINESS We are now part of this routines, some system control our fundamental functions (heart ticking and breathing), we are alive, in virtual world and it's OK. But we are alone. No children, no friends, only dog. We are walking satisfied but without sense, with empty mind (counting steps, and that's all). Act three - COGNITION Knjižica in Serbian is not only social security, but it's also symbol of belonging to some system or organisation as a member What if I am not a member? If I'm out of system? We will lost our followers, others will not monitor us anymore (what was normal, healthy), nobody will "care" about us, or organize our life (what was normal, healthy), and artress become invisible when she is out of system. Act four - WAKING UP The absence of system influence artress see like a magic, becouse it means independence, so she CAN be healthy, with open mind, according to Latin saying "men sana in corpore sano" (healthy mind in healthy body). Can be, can be, can be. conclusion - WHAT'S ABOUT MIND? Everything is about body condition (corpore sano, corpore sano, corpus is sano - and body is healthy), but no one talks about the state of mind. So, she mentions those states of mind and ask: And what shell we do? And finally, the messages from the stage and the video. When health is mentioned, hand movements show that something is not normal. We need to be washed constantly, to be clean. Our mind same as our body. Either others will do it or we will do it ourselves. Again and again... So, regardless of the placement, its appearance is a victory for Serbia and the Eurovision Song Contest.

I have no time to write everything all over again in English, I'm just gonna Google translate my understanding this song: Okay, Konstrakta. First, the song is so layered that everyone hears the second point, and that actually makes it great. Some see the mere promotion of a healthy life, some nurturing the spirit in the body as a prerequisite for a healthy life, some criticism of the health system ... here's what I hear: there is an obsession with unimportant things like "the secret of healthy hair Megan Markley". The obsession with health reached its peak. But from a completely wrong perspective. According to the principle: we will poison your soul, but we will "cure" your body, and one cannot go without the other. I do not perceive the fact that she doesn't have health insurance as regret, but as rejoicing. Then the ironic question "How to follow me? (In the name of health), to take care of me (in the name of health), the artist is invisible (in the name of health), you don't see me, it's magic ..." After that there is a change that the artist does not have to, but CAN be healthy, despite not being part of the health system. More precisely, that's why. I see her gratitude for the existence of a central nervous system that works on its own as the only thing she doesn't have to worry about, the only thing they don't fear, the only thing she doesn't stress about and what she can "trust" because it hasn't been questioned yet. And of course: the body is healthy, and what do we do now? Because it is promoted as health, what modern medicine emphasizes is not enough. The body is "healthy," but in fact it is never as long as the soul is sad, as long as man is filled with fear, as long as the mind is sick and desperate. And it's all the fault of those who bombard you with irrelevant information about Megan Markley's healthy hair. Her zombie face while obediently and obsessively washing her hands says it all! While completely without thinking, he presents a fast course of medicine from the portals that bombard us from all sides! "My dog and I are walking, counting steps and that's it!" A very simple and picturesque display of the vanity of the modern lifestyle! Body language is very unambiguous: the rotation of the palms says that who has not already gone mad, led by an artist, will soon. Leaning over her with a shout "in the name of health" says that it is a secret, a lie, because everyone who tells the truth speaks with his head held high! There is also a moment that she, as an artist, does not have health insurance, but I do not think that the emphasis is on that, and as I said, I think that in the current situation it is gratifying that she does not have it. One unrealistically layered song, one work of art and one performance worthy of praise! Great! And the very fact that everyone interprets it from their own perspective is and makes it so good! But it makes everyone think and argue! Oh, great! Forgive me all those who know how to better analyze a work of art, my thoughts are just thrown in and provoked by various interpretations, which I personally consider superficial, but that's ok too. Whoever wants to see this song as obvious can do so. Because Konstrakta set the rules of the game in such a way that it is also allowed.

I wonder what’s the secret Behind Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? I wonder what’s the secret? I wonder what’s the secret Behind Meghan Markle’s healthy hair? I wonder what’s the secret? (I wonder what’s the secret?) I think that deep hydration is what it is They say that one’s skin and hair show everything clearly For example, dark circles around the eyes Could indicate liver problems Blemishes around the lips, enlarged spleen perhaps? Enlarged spleen is not good, it’s not pretty And the artist, she needs to be healthy Be healthy, be healthy, be healthy B-b-b be healthy Be healthy, be healthy, be healthy She must be, she must be, she must be We’re incredibly lucky That there’s such a thing as the autonomic nervous system I don’t need to control my own heart beats The heart beats, the heart beats on its own Bright colours of a summer day My skirt is on my body, My skirt, the dog and I The two of us are talking a walk We’re counting the steps The skirt flows around my leg We are taking a walk, and that’s it And it doesn’t need to get any better than this The heart beats on its own I put my trust in it Let it beat on its own I put my trust in it Let it beat, let me breathe God, give me health, God, give me health, God, give me health (God, give me health) I don’t have health insurance How will they be able to keep track of me? (In the name of health) To care for me? (In the name of health) The artist, she is invisible (In the name of health) You don’t see me, it’s magic (In the name of health) The artist, she can be healthy Be healthy, be healthy, be healthy B-b-b be healthy Be healthy, be healthy, be healthy She can be, she can be, she can be In a healthy body, in a healthy body In a healthy body, in a healthy body In a healthy body, in a healthy body The body is healthy So now what? A sick mind in a healthy body A sad soul in a healthy body A desperate mind in a healthy body A terrified mind in a healthy body So now what?

Not sure if someone mentioned it but this song is also a message to the Serbian health system, because as an independent artist you do not have a health insurance and are not covered or protected for case of sickness/illness. Especially during Covid this was a topic for them.

The key to this song is in the very first line of it, pronounced backwards "Mens enfermos in corpore sano" , meaning "Sick people in healthy bodies" in Latin. Everything is about a body health, while not many take care of the inside man.

The song has deeper messages. She is inspired by the media that inform us that hair, beauty, health are important, but not mental health. He also talks about the system that controls people in the name of health and finally that a sick soul remains in a healthy body, while those who have caused problems to humanity wash their hands of responsibility. ''In corpore sano'' is Latin, meaning ''In healthy body''

Watch with subtitles, there is a version with English subtitles. I hated it on the first listening, second time was Ok... now I love it, I'm addicted listened to it 15 times. The part in Latin is the best in my opinion, it is the main message of the song: Song starts with - Onas eroproc ni somrefne snem - this is a Latin "Mens enfermos in corpore sano" (A sick mind in a healthy body) said in reverse, indicating that our entire approach to health and life is backwards Ending in Latin is: In a healthy body, in a healthy body In a healthy body, in a healthy body In a healthy body, in a healthy body The body is healthy and now what? A sick mind in a healthy body A sad soul in a healthy body A desperate mind in a healthy body A frightened mind in a healthy body and now what? There are so many messages fit in 3 minutes it is amazing, while the entire song is minimalistic. Entire thing is amazing, I'm surprised I hated it on the first listen, but that is probably an engineer in me.

In corpore sano - in healthy body healthy sole This song has several messages for example: The artist has to be healthy because she doesn’t have health insurance Today the mental health is unimportant and it’s still not recognised as actual problem especially within older generation It’s more important how you look like compared how you feel
@malenamarjan2 жыл бұрын
Ко I found this for her song! The song has so deep mesage for humanity This performance is art at it's purest. Although the lyrics may seem a bit silly at first, they are actually dead serious. There are so many layers to the song, and a lot of space for different interpretations. Konatrakta herself emphasized the importance of every listener's own interpretation. 1. The song opens with a headline from a beauty magazine that Konstrakta once saw: What is the secret to Meghan Markle's healthy hair? - This is a reference to modern society's obsession with beauty; That's what beauty magazines do - they create insecurities about your hair, skin, nails, weight etc. and then advertise products that promise to change that. That's what the second line of the song is about "I think that the secret is in deep hydration" 2.Then Konstrakta goes on talking about how our skin and hair often signal some inner health issues - for example liver and spleen problems - The reason she is thinking this is beacause she's worrying about her own health, she can't visit a doctor for a check up or get treatment because she doesn't have insurance. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT because artists in Serbia still don't have health insurance. This is a paradox because Serbia, just like so many other countries has "universal healthcare" which in reality is not available to everyone. 3. She then goes on saying how and artist must be healthy - a reference to Marina Abramovic (Art is beautiful, Artist must be beautiful), and the reason she needs to be healthty is again - because she can't afford to get treatment. 4. Then comes the part about the autonomic nervous system and how we don't need to control our own heartbeats. She describes a beautiful summer day, she is waking her dog, her heart is beating and that's it - it doesn't need to get any better. She just puts her trust in her heart and lungs hoping they won't fail her (if they do fail her then that's it, the doctors won't help her and she made peace with that) 5. She then explicitly states I DON'T HAVE THE CARD (meaning health insurance card) 6. She wonders how will they help her then? While she's wondering that we can hear the backing vocals repeat the phrase Boze zdravlja - God grant us health. This is a reference to serbian culture where health is regarded as the most important part of life. God grant us health is a common saying, we use it all the time, and you will always hear people wishing other people good health (for their birthday, or really any holiday) because everything else (money, fame, love...) becomes meaningless if you are ill and in pain. This is again a paradox - in a society that nominally regards health as sacred she still doesn't have health insurance. She says - The (female) artist is invisible, you can't see me, it's magic. 7. The final part is probably the most important one. It's basically a play on the old latin saying Mens sana in corpore sano (A healthy mind in a healthy body), exept that Konstrakta makes it clear that only the body is healthy - the soul inside is desperate which is a commentary on our own reality, we are all obsessed with improving our health - we try to eat better, be more active, take all those expensive drugs and supplements - but what about our mind? More often than not it is our mind that needs care, not the body. And finally after making that clear she asks us - So what do we do now? Now about the handwashing: She is dressed in white, she symbolizes the health care system (she reminds us of a nurse for example) and she is washing her hands. Why? Because of covid? NO! It is a metaphor about how health care workers need to "wash their hands" meaning clear their conscience when they refuse to treat you because you don't have insurance. Just like when Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the crucifixon of Jesus - he tried to clear his conscience and make it clear that he wasn't the one who killed Jesus - it was the Law. In the same way, a doctor refuses to treat you because of the law, and he needs to make peace with the fact that you may die even though he/her could (and would) help you. The handwashing could also be seen as a reference to Marina Abramovic's performance Balkan Baroque in which she spent days trying to wash the blood and flesh off of cow bones - she failed of course and that was the point - no matter how hard you try they will still be bloody bones (in this context the blood on the bones symbolized the shame of the Yugoslav wars, and in Konatrakta's performance the health care system is trying to wash away it's responsibility for people literally dying because of some bullshit paperwork and administration - but it is of course doomed to fail because the shame and blood cannot be washed away). 8

Konstrakta's song is part two out of three that form a piece called "Triptih". Her performance has nothing to do with Megan Markle, hydration, politics or covid, it's performance art that is intelligent, quirky and constructed from top to bottom to perfection. It's not weird nor funny, it's art. It's created to make people stop and think about life for a second, it's there to provoke, not to soothe or kill time. In those three songs she's describing a life of grown woman in Serbia, and likely in this World. First part "Noble" is talking about society labels as "be emancipated", "speak foreign language", "know peculiar information about places you never visited" where the chorus is describing the sad reality that she is all alone, looking at the mirror, crying and thinking about a headline in magazine "Sharon Stone does not take botox" meaning, oh she must be as ordinary as me - a masterpiece song. Second part "In corpore sano" describes a woman after reading a woman magazine with a clickbait title "What's the secret of random celebrity perfect health?" (in this case she chose Megan Markle, but any name works). Very often in those magazines you "find out" that some skin imperfection might be there due to poor health of some of your internal organs, i.e spleen, gut or liver. Verse "enlarged spleen is not good, not pretty" is trying to say "not only I may be sick, I am ugly too!" and it really describes a transition young woman go through in early middle age (Konstrakta is 43, mother of two), when beauty standard obsession is getting substituted by health obsession. So she frantically and compulsively starts singing "be healthy, be healthy, be healthy ..." and song just gets better, she becomes grateful for autonomic nervous system and how body takes care of itself, but paranoia kicks again "be healthy, be healthy, be healthy", she prays to God, even that is not enough. Than a sudden stop in rhythm where she is faced with possibility that she might stop belonging to the system (i.e not have public health insurance), how will she be taken care of? Song finale is self - revelation where Latin proverb is twisted to say that although your body will end up healthy after all paranoia, your mind will become sad, sick, desperate and frightened. This song resonates with every single woman and man in Serbia in their 40s because that is exactly how life looks at that age. It's all about being healthy at any cost, while completely neglecting mental health. It's sad that subtitles are not available on the Eurosong, because this song has nothing to do with politics, nothing to do with Megan Markle (apart as critique to mass media), and absolutely nothing to do with covid situation - it's a universal, intelligently packed recap of middle age life. Third part "Mekano" which translates as "Soft", although better translation would be "Limp", talks about everyday life and the way people live in their 40s. You work, you eat, you repeat same patterns day to day, while trying to belong to "intellectual elite" by discussing about neoliberalism, being individual and original, while in truth you are just dying out in your "comfort zone". Chorus "mekano, nek je prokleto" translates "soft should be cursed" meaning "curse the comfort zone", and this song is insanely strong due to its melody, it sounds soothing and like something you'd listen to fall asleep. This perfectly describes someone stuck in the comfort zone, you are stuck, you know you are stuck, you curse it, but your voice is still numbed, slowed and soothing. Exactly how comfort zone and depression feel like. Absolute masterpiece that is by far the most intelligent song that ever featured in Eurovision.

Fact Check: ARTISTS IN SERBIA DO HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE! i.e., artists in Serbia that are certified self-employed artists (certified by professional artistic associations), with the social-professional status "samostalni umetnik" (independent/self-employed/free-lance artist) do have health insurance and social security (pension-invalidity insurance)!!! She said, in the song, "nemam knjižicu" which could correctly be translated as "I don't have a health insurance card" or "(but) I don't have a health insurance card". So, that is a reflection of her own, personal, situation... The only downside for certified artists in Serbia is that they must regularly, once a year, or sometimes every 6 months, prove their artistic activity (publication of works/released musical works/ certified art exhibitions, group shows or solo exhibitions, etc.). So lets keep our facts clear in a real legal and administrative sense without improvisations or any prejudices! The song is nice and is socially critical and constructive! Peace and love to all!

The song is mainly about the fact that artists in Serbia don‘t have health insurance. They have to be pretty and glamorous while they are active, on stage. But when they get ill, nobody cares and the healthcare system is not there for them. Therefore the verse „… but the artist must stay healthy“. A general message is, of course, that we have to care about our health as much as possible, both from outside and inside. (Just like Meghan Markle for her hair 🙂)

The song is too deep to be reviewed with one listen especially if you don't understand the Language, this is Art and it's Abstract it has a message that we have to withdraw from it and the more you listen the more you hear hidden message, For Example Meaghan Marckle reference is to they of today's obsession with self help and life hacks we are all seeking answers from the out when in fact we have them all with in us. The whole point of the song is to depict today's humans when she mentions at the end in Latin- sad soul, weak frightened, desperate mind.

Hey guys, I found this explination on KZbin and I posted it on Facebook and I'll copy it here so you can understand. Post if from @Knikl Klikl Lyrics may seem a bit silly at first, they are actually dead serious.

I think it's about deep hydration They say that everything is clearly visible on the skin and hair For example, dark circles around the eyes indicate liver problems Stains around the lips may be an enlarged spleen An enlarged spleen is not good, it is not beautiful And the artist must be healthy Be healthy, be healthy To be healthy, would-be-would-be healthy Be healthy, be healthy Be healthy, must, must, must It is a great happiness that it exists Autonomic nervous system I don't have to control my heart rate The heart beats, the heart just beats Summer days, bright colors, my skirts on my body My skirts, the dog and me The two of us walk, count the steps, the skirt goes around my leg, we walk and that's it And it doesn't have to be better, the heart just beats I give confidence, let him just knock I give confidence, let it knock, let it breathe God of health, God of health, God of health (God bless you) I don't have a booklet About how to follow me (In the name of health) To take care of me (In the name of health) The artist is invisible (In the name of health) You don't see me, it's magic (In the name of health) An artist can be healthy Be healthy, be healthy To be healthy, would-be-would-be healthy Be healthy, be healthy Be healthy, can, can, can In corpore sano, in corpore sano In corpore sano, in corpore sano In corpore sano, in corpore sano The corpus is a sanus - so what do we do now? I have to go to the bathroom Animus tristis in corpore sano I was expecting nothing in the body I have a lot of fun And what do we do now?
