Man. How the hell has no one left you a comment? That was really useful and straight to the point. Thank you.

It seems Kontakt has a velocity issue. And a quite strange one. With the Yamaha CP-33 as a controller, in Reaper 6 with Kontakt, player note will input with a very long sustain. Only with this combination. With Keylab Essential or in Cubase, Kontakt behaves normally. If I activate Velocity off in Reaper and input high values (near 127), the unwanted sustain disappears. It seems like a Velocity off problem.

Great video! Quick question! This is in regards to Kontakt instruments. I would like to know the steps necessary to remove the default panning effect generated by key positioning. For example, with Straylight, I have the preset called "As Wide As" loaded. When I press a key on the right side of my midi keyboard, it sounds louder on my right headphone; the same goes for the left side. The problem arises if the project I am working on consists primarily of lower pitches (causing the left headphone or speaker to be louder) or consists primarily of higher pitches (causing the right headphone or speaker to be louder). This causes the track to sound disproportionate when I want it to sound evenly distributed between both headphones or speakers. I want a centered sound instead of a sound dictated by key positioning. I've researched tutorials and gone through the Kontakt manual, but I can't seem to figure it out. How can I resolve this? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Thanks bro. This video is exactly what I needed. My midi keyboard is giving me problems on a specific area. The Db and the Eb around middle C keep malfunctioning. When I play them they sometimes sound at maximum velocity no matter how softly I strike them. So as a temporary measure I'm just going to remove the louder samples.

Great Info. Thank You! I would like to think you don't take this as offense.Just info: JFYI: Note that you have low frequency continuous "note" in your audio track.60Hz. It is not real note because it continues at the same level. Monotonic drum loop is.... demanding. 60Hz mains pollution can be seen with frequency analyzer scan/live or heard with subwoofer.

I'm really new to Kontakt. Is there a way to have the modwheel effect velocity. So, having the modwheel down triggers quieter velocities and as you move it up, it increases. Also, would this work with a looping note, so as you hold the note and move the modwheel to increase velocity it does it on that single note? I don't know it that makes sense haha.

The video is excellent, but this drum looping music is really annoying. Distracting.
