The flip-out cup holder at that location is definitely a nice practical yet discrete accessory to have. That rear cup holder however is sort of in-the-way especially when rear passengers switch sides over the center tunnel. Got a similar design original JDM Nissan accessory cup holder at the same location of my X-trail from the previous owner and I ended removing it.

I see what you mean. I actually didn't order that rear cupholder, that one Rendition belanja me one. Haha. I have the same thoughts as you, but eventually decided to pasang only la, since it was free and in the E39's case, it's almost touching the floor at the centre tunnel anyway.

Hi. Is owning a bmw cheap? and are the spare parts easy to get in malaysia? I am thinking on getting an bmw e36 and not sure if its expensive to maintain

More expensive than Japanese, but actually cheaper than most Contis. E36 is relatively cheap to maintain mechanically, but interior trim parts are getting a bit difficult to source original.

Also I suggest doing all maintenance up front or you will be fixing something every other week. Keep in mind it's over 20 years old, so even if parts are still working, they are probably due for a change.
