Don't drop it. Mine had a small fall and now the toggle switch is all messed up. And while I'm here, the two small knobs have a cheap feel - they won't last. That said it thickens up my electric mandolin very nicely. I like it.

Had mine over a year now and still as good as the day I got it. There's always a lemon in anything built. A thousand cars can come off an assembly line built the exact same way with all the exact parts and one for some reason just be junk. Sorry you got a bad one.
