i just saw a review of the HOTONE OMNI AC simulator....it replicated acoustics like crazy but im afraid to see how expensive it is

Yeah, I think MSRP on that thing is like $199, but man that thing sounds good! For how often I use this cheap one, it's good enough for me.

It's not bad for a cheap pedal. It's very close to the Boss version.

To be fair, I've never seen an acoustic pedal simulator that did his job and this one is not an exception. Maybe a piezo and a IR pedal could work but a simple stompbox won't cut it.

I can't really argue with that. While not 100%, it gets close. I even have a Boss AC-3 that should be better than this, but still doesn't get as close sounding. The best sound I have found is an actual acoustic through a Spark amp with an acoustic setting. But I've used this cheap pedal through a Boss Katana Mini with a Squier Thinline and got close enough to the sound I needed at the time.

There is a great one-Hottone, they are 250.00-I just git an offer to buy a new one for a bit under 250. No thank you.It is better than buying an acoustic, that I can not play due to a car accident. I need a thin neck eletric.

@@shawnshipstad9281 yeah, everything involving impulse response will automatically be much better. It won't sound very good infront of a guitar amp tho. You need a PA speaker.

I recently got mine and it doesn't sound as i expected, the piezzo mode sounds closer to an acoustic but i improved it with a equalizer pedal.

Are you using it with a single coil or humbucker. Singles coils tend to sound a lot thinner with these acoustic sim pedals. I found it's best to play with the pickup selector to find the combination for pickups that sound best.

I think the cheap ones like this are all made the same. This is ia as good as the Mooger, layed out the same and over1/2 the price. I can get one on Amazon for 25.00. I have Prime so I will buy one. It is easier than breaking out my GR-55 unit.-Great video. Thank you.

They are mostly the same. I don't know how some of the brands get away with marking them up 100% when they're the same exact thing.

@@Guitarnivore if you go to a music fair this is a place for people in the vendor side of music making money on music instruments there is a tent where you can buy loads of pedals in quantity dirt cheap un branded and they will brand them with your name on it this pedal is one of those pedals

I have this pedal and you cannot get enough highs out of it. The body is the low end and is way to much. The Top is the high end and even all the way up its not enough high end. VSN Acoustic Pedal Guitar Had much better EQ control.
