eh, king kendrick, chance is sweet, i know doom is ageing, but he's left his influence, joey badass has good shit, afro is a BEAST at spitting and is heavily influenced by the oldies. RA the rugged man has only now reached his prime, so there is hope. Lots of the british scene as well, there is good grime (not stormzy) and guys like cas is dead just show that there are many ways to rap. And bringing poetry back to it you have kate tempest. So i'll agree that there are lots of bad wannabes, there is more than enough talent to keep the rap game going and evolving in a positive direction.

His timing, his Flo, his delivery and his lyrics, are the greatest of all time. and he is the most underrated, unappreciated MC ever. He once said you could be a gold or platinum artist, but deep down inside you know who's the hardest. It truly is a mystery how he is so underrated. he is a top 3 MC of all time, how can he be underrated the only explanation I can think of is his voice. he wasn't blessed with one of the greatest voices of all time like Rakim, Chuck D, Kool Moe Dee, biggie, and Tupac. But neither was Eminem. and he is highly regarded. So it remains a mystery.
