I drove my 1964 Ford to Oklahoma City Civic Center took my friend and his brother to see them. We were right out of high school but man Kool and The Gang all that brass had us grinning and saying with a smile I can’t believe we’re here. And the one held that note on the saxophone for at least a minute or more. Yeah we headed to see it all end. Later JT came in a game the band a different look with his vocal talent. And I remember Chocolate Buttermilk that’s back there .. Will Smith made a fortune off sampling Summer Madness.. This lead singer sounds very similar to JT and doing a great job. Let’s give thanks to these great groups giving some of the Old Skool music we grew up on. If you ever went to an HBU most people don’t care about the game it’s the band. it all come from this . Keep Jamming Kool and making people dance, Pat their feet, and bob their heads.. LB in Oklahoma April 30, 2023..

I’m sorry I’m a fan from the 70’s and enjoyed their hits but they went to another level with JT as lead singer. I think it’s a shame he’s not their. Best of luck to them both

@@deangelo8498 I love Walt Anderson's voice, so similar to JT's way of singing. But I can't see him in most of their tours and shows, and actually I don't know if he's still performing with the band. But if you listen to the album "Perfect Union" you can hear again JT's voice and groove!!!

Why have they change the music from it's original? I would have loved to see them in concert but the song "Get Down On It" does not even sound like the original. I will NOT GO TO ANY OF THEIR CONCERT with their music/songs sounding like crap!! i am there for the original 70's experience!!!!!!!!!
