Also, Choi San does not care that you do not need another bias, Choi San will be your bias, or at least your bias wrecker, whether you like it or not lol jk of course. But yes, he absolutely is the man who sets the bar for performance in the k-pop industry. Also, Ateez have a very dark, heavy lore spread out through their music, videos, live performances, extra content and diary entries physically written into their albums almost like comics. It starts as them just being troubled teenagers, who get pulled into another universe where the government has control and has illegalize human emotions and art, and brainwashed the population not to feel emotions and focus on productivity and efficiency. Ateez is pulled into this universe, and ends up meeting the versions of them from this other universe, who have broken their brainwashing and are trying to start a rebellion. Atinys call the other universe versions Halateez, they always appear wearing all black with black fidora hats and masks. Halateez asks Ateez to join them in the fight against their government. If anyone is interested in the full storyline but doesn't know where the find all the content I have a pl@y list on my profile that has all the content depicting story in the order it occurs. In my list there is mostly official KQ content, but there's also videos by a youtuber named Eterniteez, who created videos reading out the diary entries from the albums I mentioned. So everything is 100% canon storyline content. Also, at some point in the future, not explained yet Ateez becomes modern day Pirates, so a lot of their content is Pirate coded. If you do a Halloween k-pop pt 2 video there is a Ateez Pirate King Zombie version dance performance that they did just a couple months after their debut. (Also I spelled it pl@y list because lately youtube likes to delete my comments about it because it thinks I'm spamming, but I'm just trying to help Atiny)

The older man who appeared in "The Black Cat Nero" was Kim Jongkook. The song was a Halloween-themed remake of a song by a Gen 1 group called Turbo and, in the beginning, Mingi and Hongjoong say "Turbo and Ateez" to pay homage to the original performers. Kim Jongkook, formerly a popular member from Turbo, is still in the entertainment industry working on variety shows and "Black Cat Nero" has always been one of the most well-known songs by Turbo to this day. Ateez performed it live in front of him, as well, and you can tell how proud and impressed he was.

Just to be precise and add to this comment: the song The Black Cat Nero is originally a 1969 Italian song made for kids (Volevo un gatto nero) that became extremely popular in Japan. A Japanese singer (just googled it cause I didn't remember: Osamu Minagawa) translated the song into Japanese and THEN that version was further translated into Korean and sung by the group Turbo later on in 1995. Just giving credit where credit is due, not trying to correct you on anything

He truly knows how to deliver when he is on stage, and being an absolute sunshine on the other side. Also, idk if you have watched the collab stage for "Wolf" ( by exo) that Ateez, Stray kids and BTOB did some years ago on Kingdom? The best description I've heard describing Stray Kids and ATEEZ said if Stray Kids are the band kids making beats in the back of the room, ATEEZ are the theater kids using the front as their stage 😊. Both groups are super talented, but Stray Kids has more experimental sounding music and leans more to rap. ATEEZ leans a bit more to vocals and has music that often sounds grand like a movie soundtrack. Their music fits well on a playlist together. ATEEZ's main vocalist is Choi Jongho, their maknae, and he's widely considered the best male vocalist of the 4th gen. Since you like dark things and Stray Kids music, I think you'll like ATEEZ. BTW, they are also super sweet and funny.

Okay I loved this video especially since it introduced me to Ateez and Red Velvet. HOWEVER - as a Stay I feel like I am cheating bc damn Ateez is fine! Oh. I have an answer for the panic thing. When it's both sexes, it's Bi-panic. Weather you are Bi or not. It's Bi-panic. This was fun to watch. Ateez are very much performers. They are monsters at performance. They are my second fave boy group following SKZ. My all time fave song of theirs is Halazia, which replaced Wonderland for fave. Halazia is very dystopian, so it could fit into Spooky Season. Stray Kids had so much fun making those different dance practices. They even did a live stage of Side Effects with a Vampire concept. (There are very flashing lights, so trigger warning for that) I actually have a recommendation for Spooky Season groups. There's a girl group. Dreamcatcher. They debut with a horror concept with rock infused into the k-pop. Almost all their videos will have a touch of horror. You want witchy vibes? They have a video called Red Sun & it's so delightful. Want to have a two part horror move? Watch their debut & first comeback, Chase Me, and Good Night. (Seriously, the entire Nightmare Arc of theirs is so good) Want a chilling summer song that has references to US? Go watch BEcause.

I love that for not knowing ATEEZ well (yet 🤭) you appreciate their vampire ver of Deja Vu! As a new ATINY at the time this came out I was equally shook and found it so perfect because personally I find Seonghwa and Yeosang have the most vampire like beauty -even before this came out! Honestly everyone rocked the vampire look and I still fangirl so hard at Hongjoong and Mingi especially 😍 When i fully was ATINY i also fell hard for their cover of Black Cat Nero. It is absolutely perfect for Halloween. Honestly October is ATEEZ month given that it has Jongho's birthday, debut date, and they often do Halloween performances (the only exception being last year they apparently did not do anything as the timing was unfortunate with the Itaewon incident 😢)

I am so so excited for you! K-pop is also my biggest hyperfixation right now, but ateez are my special interest! I discovered them around December of last year and I gotta be real, I’ve been into K-pop since 2015 but I can’t enjoy any other groups the way I enjoy them! They’ve raised my standards for performance, dance, music, and personality. They’re now my official ult group and it makes me so happy seeing people discover them especially a fellow stay! I’d love to see more reactions of them! Black cat Nero is a cover that was so well done on immortal songs that ateez won (first 4th gen group) and released it. The other man is Kim Jongkook, part of the group turbo who released the black cat Nero originally (besides the 1969 children’s song)

The live version of Black Cat Nero on Immortal Songs is even better than the Halloween one because they are all such incredible performers. They had a pre-debut name, KQ Fellaz, and their dance covers were so awesome everyone thought they were a new dance crew :)

The other name is what their company, KQ Entertainment, generically calls their trainees until they've decided on a name for the group. The group that debuted this year was called KQ Fellaz 2 until they settled on the name xikers, so it's just a placeholder.

Have you seen Skz family Laurel? There are three "seasons". One video from 2019, one from 2021 and we recently got two new videos :D The kids each take one the role of a family member, from grandparents to little kid, and it is hilarious!!! For ‘Up all night’ we have a theory that the cake was made out of the old man. Either that or that the old man is also a vampire and that’s why the boys didn’t need the elderly couples permission to enter their home, after all there were a lot of body parts lying around this old couples house so gramma vampire’s left overs? For the zombie and vampire versions from SKZ I think they just do it for the funzies but the staff also help with the costuming and makeup. It’s really nice to see them having fun with these dance practices since they don’t to the ‘heart version dance practices’ as much anymore (they would just play around throwing heart symbols at us, wearing heart stickers and having some sort of soft costuming on) they were so playful. If I remember correctly at the end of the zombie dance practice Han said something like ‘Changbinnie let’s go to the gym’ or something about going to eat. And at the end of the Vampire dance practice, Lee know said ‘don’t eat that, you don’t know where it’s been’ or words to that effect. Also I love you loving Channie, he’s my ult and I love him so much. And yes when his shirt comes up high enough you can see Changbin’s signature haha.
