Diluc is just emotionally constipated. He's actually very soft and a little awkward, and in desperate need of a hug from Kaeya specifically. I have him in my teapot and all I can do is give him a lot of dogs :( Kaeya makes me furious for no reason and I love it. His backstory also makes me feel like protecting him so he's in my in-game party till the end whether he likes it or not. Thoma earned my permanent respect in the archon quest, and I like his Trigun looking outfit and cute voice. Saving for this man. For Zhongli I would spontaneously combust before it got anywhere. That being said he can kick me like his spear and I would thank him profusely.

This was hillarious! Also on Childe I can never get over his “dead” eyes. Seriously look at them and compare to other characters- he’s got the corpse dead inside shading anime characters get was something is a 100% wrong ! 😐 obviously it’s some kind of foreshadowing for who he is but considering other members of the harbingers have normally shaded eyes, I keep thinking that there’s more to it for him. I honestly think that we’re going to get more story involving him.

When Childe was 14 he ran away to go on an adventure, and ended up falling into the Abyss. When he eventually found his way back out he was not the same as when he went in. The deadness in his eyes is most likely supposed to represent how the Abyss swallowed up his childhood innocence and forged him into a warrior.

@@Lithiel well the abyss is it’s own whole can of worms. It’s not in anyway like an afterlife or anything, but in terms of suffering, it’s essentially Hell. The abyss is the result of Celestia’s wrath on Khaenri’ah (a kingdom that toyed with experiments that the gods thought were overstepping their place.) See the abyss mages everywhere? Those were people from Khaenri’ah turned into unrecognizable monsters. So it’s a truly horrifying experience. Especially at age 14. Childe was stuck there for 3 months (only 3 days to the outside world) after being chased by wolves and falling into the abyss entrance in the woods and was then sent off to the Fatui soon after he got out. So I can definitely see his trauma being worse than mostly all of the other characters, (being forced to fight for his life every waking second in an unknown land of ruins with monsters of nightmares when he was also previously not a fighter) but it may also be the strange properties of the abyss that have sucked the light out of his eyes. There’s a reason why the last chapter of the archon quest is going to be about Khaenri’ah.

And she certainly isn't the sadistic type -- she does a lot of dirty work behind-the-scenes, but it's pretty clear she doesn't really enjoy it.
