She just appears at the cutscene and everything goes as intended. Her leaving only affects gameplay and is immediately restored once the fight ends anyway

hmmm heres an interesting thought. . . what if you do the bobbery early glitch AND go to Poshley Heights and read the note and then Ultra Rank any of the four partners Doopliss uses. . . will doing this make one of the four partners perform rally wink dodgy fog etc. on Doopliss? (or cause the game to crash of course)

None of Doopliss' partners are programmed to use any of those moves anyway. Just see how he uses them in the Shadow Sirens fight; all you get is basic moves, and maybe Multibonk.

I do think it's interesting how the game pays attention to whether you upgraded your partners prior to the Doopliss fight (Since Flurrie has less atk and hp here). Does that also mean that if Goombella wasn't upgraded she'd never use Multibonk?

There's actually an oversight with Goombella here and in the Chapter 8 fight where Doopliss transforms into her. She can still use Multibonk, even if you've never upgraded her. Also, her Multibonk does more damage if she is upgraded, doing 2+2+2+... instead of 2+1+1+... Upgraded partners have increased HP and attack, but no one uses any special attacks except for Goombella (Multibonk). This also applies to Doopliss in the Chapter 8 fight where he transforms into your partners.
