Playback in Hindi Cinema has started somewhere around mid 40s. Before that the actor used to sing the songs. Also the colour in Hindi movies was available since late 50s. Regarding playback singing there are many names right from 40s onwards like in Male: Mohamad Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey and many others Female: Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosale, Geeta Dutt and others There are artists in every decade of the 19th and 20th century. This was a beautiful era of indian music Kishore Kumar, Md Rafi, Lataji, shailendra, etc even today's youngsters like me listen to those era songs and miss these singers. In India many concerts and music shows happen with local singers performing these old songs with bands in small theatres etc. Indian music or Hindustani music is as old as the Sanskrit Vedas which are atleast 6000 years old.

Bro i was the one who has asked you to react to kishore kumar for very long time. This song is a genre of him which is mostly loved by general indians but this is not I would say a proper showcasing of the kishore kumar experience . It's like exploring Michael Jackson by just vocals without watching his dance.. Kishore kumar was a performer more than anything.. There is one video song " Eena mena dika" Where he himself plays five characters very funny and lovely performance.. There is also a song " Ankhe sedhee lagi jaise dil pe katariya " where he sings both in male and female voice ( like a Charlie Chaplin like parody kindaa thing) You should definitely check them to have fun experience peace 🤜🤜 Without watching his dance movements and funny facial expressions you will not have that..
