And what makes it worse is that the white ranger in this series is the mother of the main 5. Fun fact: purple was the color of royalty and nobility. It makes perfect sense since Koragg is a knight after all, plus purple can also be an evil color sometimes too so even more awesomeness

Yes, I always thought the same thing and it’s one of the reasons why it’s one of my favorite fights in the season. Homie was also dealing with not feeling good enough for his all powerful father, still wrestling with the idea that Koragg/Leanbow is his father, and all the other stress that comes with being a red ranger. Mixing all those thoughts together creating a contempt cocktail.

@@partymantis3421 in the original the team is a family of wizards. They watch their mom get "killed" by wolzard in the first episode. Red funnily enough is the youngest of the team. He lacks any memories of his father while the rest only remember that at some point in their childhood their dad went missing/left to grab the milk. About half way through they make the realization that Wolzard is in fact their father but he has no memories of them. This results in a sorrowful beat down from Red who laments the fact that his only memories of his Dad are of them fighting.
