I just learned to adjust the orientation of the crystal chamber. When I received it the two metal rods were too far to the right. I used the smallest allen wrench and removed the three screws. Reoriented it the crystal chamber to line up straight with rest of chassis and looks great. I ran into two minor issues. One I can’t unscrew the pommel cap, it’s too tight. Two I can’t slide the control box cover, it won’t move at all. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hm… maybe you could try getting some wd-40 to work into the threads of the pommel cap? I think the best thing might be to use a vice, with lots of tape, towels, and whatever other protection you need so you don’t scratch up the saber. Lock it in and then try to unscrew it by hand, or with some sort of other gripping device. Just make sure if you go the vice route to do everything you can to protect the saber from damage. As for the control box cover, I think you’re revering to the clamp card? The flat rectangle piece with the line accents? You could possibly try to force it off. It might be stuck with some glue on accident. Maybe try pushing on it to try and get it to slide out, slowly increasing the force until it works. Or you could try removing the copper rails? The clamp card is only really held in by the copper rails on the side of the box, and those are just held on by a bit of glue. From the two VeeOne sabers I’ve worked on it’d be pretty easy to just pop those off and re-glue them. It’s hard to give you good advice without having the saber in front of me, so anything I say here be sure to think about if it applies to your situation, and to be careful not to matter what route you go!

Do you have any cfx 9-axis sound boards. I can’t find any anywhere.

I have 1 broken one, and one set aside for my dream saber hahaha. I’m struggling here too with the shortage of 9-axis cfx boards 😭

I don’t do conversions really, mainly installs on empty hilts really. But you can send me a message on instagram if you had any questions!

Bro tell me why I was having some problems with the same saber from korbanth
@averycastillo6 ай бұрын
I’ve always heard their installs were hit or miss, seems like maybe this saber is more of a miss when it comes to control box quality control?
@EL-FATZ6 ай бұрын
@averycastillo you would expect it to be spot on for a product that took 3 weeks to build. but if I ever have any more problems with my saber I'll get in contact with you. Do you install empty sabers as well. I love watching your videos bro. Your very talented 👌

@@averycastillo Korbanth's installs are notoriously rickety yes, done plenty of repairs. I'd always advocate getting an empty from them and sourcing your own install where possible tbh, it's what I tell customers all the time

I actually mainly install empty sabers hahaha, only occasionally do repairs when I think I can be helpful

Bad quality control from a company that charges so much!!

Yes it is not fair to the customer. It makes you think twice before you buy from them again.
