One day I will read some comments by people who fish that don't use profanities to have a pop at people taking time out to show you how they fish and hey its got KORDA in the title so expect to see their products being used! When I started angling everything was secret, no one wanted to show you anything that might mean you'd catch a better fish than they did. At its worst grown ups would bully young anglers out of swims, thank heaven for people like Korda who actually want YOU to catch and enjoy your fishing. They may do something you disagree with but effing and jeffing smacks of envy, offer a view that doesnt have to have swearwords and personal insults in it. I have grandkids who watch these video presentations I dont want them subjected to such language in "comments" it spoils their enjoyment and really even we adults get sick of it. The great British disease if someone is a success slag them off, so sad, so uncalled for.

Even though this videos 7 years old it's still very current and I still use Elliotts version of the hinge stiff rig. It's perfect for my angling 👌🏼

Love these videos, really interesting and educational. I tested a few pop ups in a bucket over the course of a week. Some remained buoyant for 12 hours whilst others remained buoyant for the entire week? My conclusion is that cork is probably the only way to guarantee that your pop up stays as per design if your planning to leave the rig out for a lengthy period in the lake. 👍

I used to fish ladywell when a ticket for the day was 50 pence I was likely one of the first to find it had carp in it had them up to 25.most days I had it to myself only others there were one or two old boys who fished for Rudd the deer used to come down the opposite hill the owners were the Oliver family all back in the early 80s how I miss those days

21:36 Anyone else think thats an insane amount of line to reel in before he pulls into the fish? even if it did swim towards it the time it took him to get to the rod that indicates the huge amount of slack in the line.
@KordaTV
@KordaTV 8 жыл бұрын
Dan Ash I filmed this with Dan that evening, he had small backleads on to stop the line traveling in some undertow. We had a single bleep drop back and the fish must have gunned it flat out towards the bank. Dan wound down into it pretty quickly. Carp can travel ground pretty quick! Cheers. Jack

Thanks for this Danny and as someone who has recently gotten back into fishing following a very long break, these videos are very helpful into making rigs up. I am still currently using made up rigs and method feeder, but my intention is start having a go at making my own, following the advice here. My main issue is braid is banned on most lakes I use with the club I am in (RN Club in Hants), so will have to look for alternatives for the leader etc. Any advice would be greatly received.

Not sure how I feel about these rigs that "dump the lead" when you get a take. Just seems a lot like high class littering to me and nice way for tackle companies to make yet another quick buck.

So, this helisafe system drops the lead then surely that deems the safety bead irrelevant if you get cut off because theres weight for the fish to shake the rig off the leader meaning Mr Carp cant get rid of the leadcore therefore can become tethered... poor idea.

Russell Smith Its so you can fish heavy weed, & protect the Carp's mouth in the event of crack off no lead means no ripping, bead slides off away goes the leadcore e.t.c

I don't k ow as if that quite what there doing in certain situations it necessary to drop the lead but it shouldn't just become common practice for people to do because they just see it as the new craze, I've been dropping leads for 15 years but only when the weed is that bad that it is necessary to do it to be able to land the fish and I dread to think how many leads I have left on lake beds....

I don't think it is the pop-up that is the big fish attractor. It's the fact that a bigger fish needs to eat more boilies than a small carp to survive.
