Exhilarating build and swell of inmost emotion... *That* is what makes this piece personally glorious for its admirers! Yes, the details of this composition have been discussed many times, in many places, and have been perceived in a multitude of ways... as are most all of Ludovico's creations. ...mostly by those who like to think themselves aficionados - maestros (most often self-designated...) who see it their duty to weigh the merit of classical works - so then to "educate" the lesser learned masses.😏 Yes, Einaudi's simplicity has disturbed the minds of many who think themselves proponents of "proper" classical composition... annnnd this is just one *more* reason I personally a-d-o-r-e his work.😎👌 As is with all things that matter, music will forever be dissected and analyzed under the scrutiny of those working to find ways to critique a composition's value via its complexity... Meanwhile, others understand what the music was created to offer - They simply rest in it...allowing the movement to sweep them up and carry them to different dementions of... well...🤔 experience.🤷♀️ No, stunning passacaglia, such as this and Canon in D... They are not necessarily difficult to recite note for note... H-o-w-e-v-e-r, to play these works *well* ... to be able to snatch the listener's ear and carry your audience with its movement... its compelling... *That* is what makes this piece so very special.✋😔 When works like this pour through a player who understands musical artistry for the sake of its movement - as do you, Mr Semrow... we all come to discover its sway in equilibrium - the piercing and exquisite intimacy of splintered emotion.💫 Excellent, Kord - most excellent!✨👌

Easy 4 chord progression on paper, but not one thing easy to play it right. Static comps made of repetition require heart. Right mechanics of dynamics and tempo are essential to make or break this comp! If those aren't tight it just ends up flavorless flat loops of sound. Yeah I've heard this played with heart and without. You're a great player for this write, Kord! Excellent play!

This is a definite story piece, Kord. And the patience in the timing of your interpretation is *beyond* exquisite in this production.👌 Because of the way your have delivered this package - your audience's perception and experience is projected from you into us...and it is a dramatic one. All is built of such a delicate and intriguing balance within every measure! Your hesitation and careful contemplation, inside the intro in studio, feels like an artist considering a melody. It is as tho he is inspired by his melancholy state of being... maybe struggling with finding a way to express his thoughts and feelings. He doesn't know how else to release it... not by any other medium, than thru his music. At the same time, he's not quite sure he wants to go there... It might make him feel too much. The hesitation, just before you cut from your intro to the main portion of the piece, feels like the tipping point. And it quickly turns into a giving over - an unfolding. A few more bars...and you're all in. By the time the Amicus begins to take the spotlight, the melody and harmonies are all encompassing - pouring from your fingers and out thru your strings. The repetition is swirling emotion, yet... passion restrained... Still, so necessary to get out! Suddenly you stop. Is it a thought of regret?... or maybe an outside interruption?... And you're back to the seclusion of your studio. Carefully, you begin to pick out the melody in the darkness once again. Did what just happen in front of the fire really happen?... or was it only in this player's imagination? The irony is... It *did* just happen. That is what makes a production, like you have created here, so incredibly poignant. You have utterly captivated your audience's attention! They are raptured from the first bar... thru the very last note. Absolutely stunning, Kord.👌
