Nope. Career mode like the IL-2 great battles. Bur more in depth You manage the squadrons pilot. Planes. Supplies. Pilots get injured and need rest. Planes get damaged and need repair. You need to manage fuel and Ammo and make sure to stay up to date with requests. They can't do dynamic or even semi dynamic campaigns In a historical setting. That would defeat the historical purpose and allow for ahistorical situations. Which sure would be awesome but still. No matter what history still plays out as it did IRL. The North will push into the South. The South will push back. The Chinese will intervene and push back. The stalemate will ensure. There's not going be to a Falcon BMS situation where you destroy a bunch of bridges then suddenly the Chinese can't intervene. That would change history. Which this game is not about.

@@mailman35419what does history and gameplay have anything to do with each other? Setting is Korea. Yes. Gameplay is linear and not much in terms of replayablity. We know the way the war played out we understand history. What is the point of participating in a war that is linear to begin with? If my plane destroys a vital enemy supply route looking to suppy nearby troops. Or wipes out 10s of squadrons in nearby airfields, why can’t that have an influence on the operational level? There’s no excuse as to why we can’t have a dynamic campaign. It takes away from the abundant possibilities we can have. The immersion factor, knowing that my flight can have an impact on the war is already enough for me to purchase. The fact that it is not dynamic is a no buy for me, honestly.

You're doing a dang fine job of keeping my interest absolutely peaked, in case you were wondering. Which you probably weren't since you all have much more important things to do right now, lol. But anyway, very nice work you're doing. I cannot wait for this game to make its way into the wild. It is nice to see this era get some more attention. It's going to be great having aerial gunfights in jets without having to stare holes in your radar screen and RWR to try to avoid that guided missile barrage that someone burped at you from 60 miles away. Just the good ol' honest dogfighting so many of us adore, but faster and higher.

Indeed. Modern Il-2 is scared of particle effects. Smoke trails are kinda short too. And in Great Battles multiplayer you despawn in 5 seconds if you're pilotsniped, regardless of whether your plane has hit the ground already or not. Things just kinda get mopped up too quickly in favour of performance. Guess it's the curse of modern graphics. Wasn't such issue in Il-2 1946 I don't think... Tho idk.

Better than DCS
@paulsaunders65363 ай бұрын
Not really. But it’s not a competition. With the right hardware DCS is an amazing experience in VR, but you need the right hardware to experience it at its best. Terrain implementation for VR is inconsistent, I found the Marianas is a frame rate killer in VR, even with a 14900k CPU and a 4090 card. Others are good. IL2 is much more consistent, Normandy used to be a problem over cities and or in the larger dogfights but that seems to have been resolved. I get a steady 72 FPS in IL2 in all circumstances now ( that’s the refresh rate I set my Crystal at). It’s just a pity that the cockpits in IL2 aren’t clickable. Both sims have their strengths and weaknesses. I’ll continue flying both with equal enthusiasm.

Nice, but the entire clip seems to be at 2x speed, or is it just me? Dust settles very quickly, the P-51 kinda tips over awkwardly, and the train bounces jankily. The concept is good though.

I will be buying it as soon as it comes out. IL2 hasn't disappointed yet. Except when they released the unfinished Cliffs of Dover. Or Flying Circus without a campaign. The DCS people love to release modern American planes, and then have them fight Russian planes from the 80. They are excellent at feeding the ego of their American customers, simulating "spreading of democracy" operations.

really your IL2 simulator is one of the best, I have more than 5000 hours and I'm sure that KOREA will be a great success, I'll tell you the only weakness that I see like many people, which is that there is no native rearming in the game in IL2 and that is a big lack of effort for a simulator of such quality as your product, doing it through the editor is not for everyone, it has to be native within the game, a hug and enjoying IL2 like crazy and I make this humble but brutally important request, you are appreciated and 10/10

I think BMS, DCS and IL-2 all have extremely high standards to flight dynamics modeling, authenticity and gameplay. @@muhammadsaleh7229 in fairness to DCS, if you want to play 80s or 90s cold war, you've got tons of options there. Even 70s is very viable now that the phantom is in game. The 50s/60s is limited mainly by maps. We don't have Korea or Vietnam, so the sabre and mig 15 don't have their main playground. And if you want to do a 1944 WW2 mission, there's a reasonable selection there too. IL-2 definitely offers the superior WW2 setting, although I've always found the flight dynamics a bit too forgiving in that sim. BMS offers a superior falcon simulation, but that's it. DCS absolutely has its place in the market, and if you want to do 80s carrier ops, there's no better place to be!
@RAF33Strike3 ай бұрын
@@muhammadsaleh7229 Which I agree are some of their strengths. DCS does feel deprived of many potential systems/aircraft, both flyable and AI-only across WW2, Cold War and modern eras. However, DCS has an edge in graphics, aircraft variety with unparalleled systems fidelity and interaction, and a powerful, albeit cumbersome, scripting and scenario editing engine.
