I've been in korea through 3 chaotic events. It'll tell you that country doesn’t learn. There'll be another Nth room before we know it. The laws are trash anyway.
@MicheleDoenges7 ай бұрын
Me, too. And those chaotic events have all involved children and young adults to a degree. Meanwhile, the government still has the audacity to try and encourage us to increase the birth rate. As an open letter to our government that they'll likely never see, but it feels good to get it off my chest: MAYBE, if you'd do your JOB and protect the children we DO have, you wouldn't have to pay us to replace the babies we DID have. MAYBE, if you didn't fumble the Sewol Ferry incident, or the Nth Room incidents, or the Itaewon Trampling, or even the Gwangju Inhwa school incident back in 2012, our population wouldn't be an upside down triangle right now. MAYBE, if you hadn't let 410 of our children and young adults die in those incidents where you COULD have intervened much, MUCH earlier, we wouldn't be in such a dire situation. All of them would be old enough to either have teenagers or be having children now. You didn't just let our youth die. You ended legacies.

My best friend is Korean (he has dual citizenship, german and korean) I can not tell people enough how even their own citizens are thinking about giving up their citizenship cus they don't identify with their government anymore. He's currently serving his military service, it's HELL in there with all the hierarchy and culturally authority norms. Violence and sexual harassment are a big topic in the military, it's a well known fact that Idols or conventionally attractive people in general get "favored" in a disgusting way and then have to deal with their jealous colleagues later, saying stuff like they slept their way up the ranks. People should stop romanticizing South Korea just cus they have flashy idols.

They really don't care huh? They see rape, multiple instances of it and they're like "yeah, not that bad, give 3 years, at least it wasn't financial fraud". It shows what kind of people are behind the government and the justice system. And what they really think about women and children.

38:25 telegram is great. I live in kz and my friends are from russia,ukraine,belarus etc are users of telegram because of that fact. We can’t chat anywhere about our political beliefs or honest opinions,our government sucks. Many people from these countries are getting sued because they don’t like presidents. We DON’T have the freedom of speech. When war against ukraine started we quickly deleted our VK(another russian social network) accounts and moved to telegram to support ukraine,my friends from russia organized protests against russia. And now I’m using telegram to talk about Kazakhstan’s biggest issue rn:femicide. I can’t text my friends on whatsapp or vk,because i can get sued,but I use telegram to talk about my feelings. Btw rotten mango said that she’s preparing a video about kz femicide. So even if telegram can get used for bad purposes,it’s the only app we can trust. Recently my mom found out that police is checking her whatsapp,so yeah it’s bad here. Sorry for my poor English,it’s my third language

i had an ex that had retroactive jealousy that called me horrible things for my past like it was something i could erase or change. how many you've been with is only relevant if you have an STD so if you don't then it's none of anyone's business and shouldn't be asked about with the intention to shame them. this case is beyond f'd up and i felt sick when i watched these videos. did some research after because i was so confused how i never heard about it before Stephanie made the videos and they're so bad my heart broke for those victims and the cops that tried to help them

Kudos to rotten mangoes, and the other woman, who covers these crimes. It needs to be known; the depraved level of misogyny that is apparently so common in S. Korea. The hosts and watchers need to be outed. She said, in another video, that a lot of watchers were teachers. Loving that the now adult men, who were previously protected by law, in another case involving a middle schooler are being outed on KZbin. It is extremely disgusting how money is so valued and those without it have damn-near no hope of justice. The suspects’ families often bully/threaten the victims in these cases.

Basically Pavel Durov (the founder of tg) was pressed by Russian government a lot when he created the app. Russia asked him to give out all of the info on people who were discussing on the app how they are not satisfied with the government back in the days. (I think u can guess why that asked that lol). He refused and had to flee Russia bcs he didn’t want to violate the freedom of speech, especially when it’s personal conversations. Since then he made the company’s message clear: all rights of users are going to be protected. And that is why many people use tg, especially Russians with our “freedom of speech” in the country. Sometimes some people just use this freedom in a very wrong way. And actually Durov mentioned in a recent interview that they check all leads from FBI and services as such, and give out the information on people who actually do bad things.

This is old but so real You don’t know how many post I’ve seen of grown women “being like oh Korea is so safe and amazing😻” like girl no, just because you see K-pop Idols living there doesn’t mean it’s a good place to live or like when they say that “ Korean men are sweeter than American ones” like I don’t wanna generalize the whole country, but sometimes they can be worse because how lenient the laws towards women, children and little girls are.
@Clairedollette_4 ай бұрын
And even though I think it’s amazing to celebrate Korean culture there’s no way people should be idolizing the country because both south Korea and North are awful places to live when it comes to government and laws I don’t understand why some girls automatically think it’s safer there because crimes against women in children are at a all-time high.
