Halfway through, absolutely disgusting. Also, I’ve read that foreign women in South Korea have had issues with being touched or followed. So weird, like ppl think you don’t have rights etc because you’re a foreigner in another country. Hope you’re doing well.

I recently had two similar experiences. One was at a club in Apu of all places. I thought they were more demure over there. The other experience happened during a foreigner meetup, and one of the hosts, a Korean man in his early 30s, showed up late. I felt he was standoffish at first. But maybe I’m projecting from other experiences of meeting some Koreans. Once they hear my American accent or learn what I do, they seem to warmup, which is effed up (I’m tired of this place). Anywayyy at the end of the meetup, when we’re all saying bye to each other, he gives me a hug. But one of his hands is on the left side of my butt. I didn’t and still don’t know what to think about it. It was a quick hug, he’s one of the hosts, and during our activity, once he warmed up to me, he was so kind, charming, and respectful. So it caught me completely off guard. I tell myself maybe it wasn’t intentional.

I’m sorry you went through that!! The clubs in Korea are the perfect place for men to touch women and act like it’s an accident…don’t even get me started on those stories 😭😭😭 It sucks that we have to be the ones downplaying a scenario.😭
